Inside the Actor's Studio (Sensei meeting)

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan glared at the Kitsune. "No my lord. I just wonder which kind of marriage ours will be." The Bayushi smiled. "You question my loyalty my lord?" He walked a few steps offering her other hand.

[Zashi]

"Bushido does not let a Samurai know fear." Zashi offers a hand back. "And with you I know I have nothing to fear." Zashi kisses the hand in a display of courtly affection.

"My duty calls anon, but I shall return soon." Zashi pushes back, hoping to move to a "costume change"

[Vutall]

The sensei looks on, expressionless from her mask.

[Zashi]

Zashi returns, hair quickly done up while a long wig now tumbles past their shoulders. Zashi gives the fake locks a casual brush over the shoulder, although every strand was already perfect. The swagger forward is graceful and without a care in the world, Zashi's best attempt at a preening Crane.

"My beloved! How I missed you. I waited so long for him to leave I thought that my heart might burst. Don't cry, I'm here now."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan decided that it was better to get into character and found something suitable. I think this might help. "Ah my love..."Kaidan moved a stray hair out of Zashi's face "I felt it has been ages since I have seen you last." Kaidan smiled brightly placing a small kiss on the Kitsune's cheek.

[Zashi]

"Just my cheek? Come my love, make me feel that you missed me." Zashi's hand goes to Kaidan's thigh. "I'll help you forget that awful man for a while. Let us delight in our secret while we can."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan hugged the Kitsune tightly. He whispered in his ear "The walls have eyes. The doors have ears." He took a step away. "The sweet wind whispers, warming winter days snow melts, love hearts intertwine." It was Kaidan's attempt at poetry.

[Zashi]

"If we must stay quiet and secret, I beseech you my love: lend me a token of your affections. Something to hold onto for our hearts to be together, forever, in spite of where we shall be, or whomever we must be with" Zashi continues to break, but keeps the barest touch of the fingertips.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

The boy takes out a paper from the sleeve and fold it in shape of a cat that really at an angle looks like a fox. He girly boy blushed and smiled at the touch. "The fox moves quietly, spring comes to those who wait, flowers bloom softly." Kaidan giggled.

[Vutall]

"Good, the audience now sees that there is a duty and a love, and that the duty is somewhat strange. Sniffing Bayushi-san was a good indicator. Continue"

[Zashi]

Zashi takes the folded piece of origami, sliding a tiny hand along Kaidan's wrist. "Indeed, the best comes to those who are patient." The fingers lightly caress Kaidan's chin as Zashi dramatically flounces our of scene.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan sighed. He starts a monologue. "My dear lover what will I do. My duty to my clan and keeping peace between the clan." He lowers his head. "Will the war take him away... I am a Samurai..." He walks to a side of a stage. "Cannot be dissuaded by matter of the heart... but then what about the fortunes... Will Benten forsake me for following my duty... or will Doji forsake me if I follow my heart." He sits on the floor as he tries to solve his dilema.

[Zashi]

Zashi returns back after the monologue, back in the severe outfit of the Duty.

"My betrothed? I hurried back as soon as Duty allowed." Zashi stops in the "doorway", puzzling, as if to look around

"Has someone been here?"

[Bayushi Kaidan]

He looked at the Kitsune "No my lord." He stood up straitening his kimono. "I was just talking to myself." He moved closer. "Have you decided where the wedding will be?"

[Vutall]

"Now, for the twist ending."

[Zashi]

Zashi continues to look around scene, as if a bit confused. "I would imagine at the border of Kitsune Mori and Crane territory, a way for the two families to see each other at the union." Zashi drums the Duty's hands over the surface of the desk. "And you are sure that none other has been here?" There is concern now, concern in his own faculties. Is he missing something? Why can't his Duty show this?

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"Do you know I will be leaving in the winter. For court has called upon me to fulfill my duties." Kaidan looked at the Kitsune's eyes. He realized something. "You... who are you?"

[Zashi]

"what do you mean, my betrothed?" Zashi seems puzzled, stepping back. Zashi's eyes grow wide, confusion growing as the Duty's hand reaches into the folds of his kimono. Out comes the folded paper fox.

"That was not there before." This time, it is not the harsh tone of the Duty, but the light, playful Love

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan looked at the fox kitten origami surprised. "My love? My Duty? My lord?" The girly boy looked puzzled. "This must be a trick."

[Zashi]

"I am." The voice is said with the authority of Duty, but the adoration of love. "After all, Love is Duty and Duty Love to a samurai"
