"Loot me? Do you mean invite me to visit a ship?" This one Sakura wasn't sure about "I've heard the Crane ships are huge, I'd love to see Mantis ones."

He nods and takes a moment before replying about the Mantis ships to the little Crane with blinking eyes. After all, there were ships too big they were actually forbidden by Imperial decree.

Kokyou replies. "I be sure ye'll be surprised when ye come t' visit."

"You make them sound really exciting. Have you spent a long time on ships then Kokyou-san? Shouldn't you be schooling more than being on ships, or do Mantis study on ships?" Sakura asked, seeming to be genuine in her innocent naive questioning

"I be still a sailor-in-trainin'. I can nah yet get alone into a galleon afore I prove I can work th' sails upon command, 'n also provide those commands t' others. We train part in th' land 'n sail across quite often jus' t' travel between th' islands. But mannin' up as a crew. That's only aft gempukku... when we earn th' rights t' get chosen by a cap'n." He explains quite humbly, but doesn't stop there.

"I be sure they'll duel t' decide who will 'ave me in thar crew." Kokyou cackles again, confident of what the future could be like.

"ahh, so it's like, you have to prove yourself so they select you for the more important duties among the ships" Sakura said with a nod "kind of like having to prove your skills at a forge before they allow you to attempt more complex designs. I understand that! I think Kokyou-san will prove himself though. He'll have the biggest ship!"

Sakura paused, trying to understand, then finally getting it.

"Big ship! Even bigger than the biggest? Kokyou-san should learn to make even bigger ships so he can make one that matches his skills!"

He nods, saying, "Aye! I shall be th' greatest. Make those eyed penny, lickin' jack, grog faced, gold stealin', brute built, cow poxed, bug brained, back bitin', spud faced, pants soilin', spider-kissin' washoons that say I cannot do so regret they 'ave ever opened thar mouths."

He takes some air and explains,"Nah that anyone said so yet. But if they do."

Kokyou shakes a fist.

Thankfully for Sakura, she couldn't understand most of what the Mantis said, or it might make her blush. Or feint. Or at least require a fan. She got an impression it wasn't very nice though.

"I don't think sensei would like it if I just stayed at the forge making things for you all the time. It would also look strange" Sakura commented, entirely innocent in her comments "plus I have my own project. I will try though!"

Sakura blinked a few times, before an "Oh!" perhaps a little louder than intended. She hid behind her sleeve, blushing brightly.

"A-ano...it's too early for that..Kokyou-san...I don't even think we're allowed to contact Nakodos at this age."

He freezes for a moment, as a tint of blush comes up. It was definitely not in his plans to find a matchmaker. Too many rules, and procedures, and not being able to choose the ladies himself. Definitely a no.

He clears his throat, looking forward and commenting, "Ye focus on forgin' weapons 'n such. Metal bonds. Metal, poppet."
