(Day 6, LE) Celebration Feast (Roleplay Thread)

Toshimoko and a number of the other guests all raise their glass, the host giving a nod to Ginkarasu.

"Kampai!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He surprised himself with Ginkarasu suddenly getting up. A small speech was not what he expected! Nevertheless, he raises his cup alongside others. "Kampai!"
He hits Ginkarasu stealthly with his elbow. "Want to share my cup?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu shakes his head, sitting down after his toast. "Not unless you think its dangerous?"

[Togashi Dao]

Dao lifts his cup and stands, waiting for the rest of his delegation, so they could call out as one voice.

"KAMPAI!!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Sake here is really good and it won't get you drunk. But your choice." He shrugs and pours more in the cup.

[Kakita Kenji]

"Kampai" Kenji exclaimed!

[Kokyou]

Kokyou didn't look to the Crab. He heard him, though. With his back turned and eyes cast elsewhere, he lifts his cup, exclaiming a, "Kanpai".

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"Kampai!" Eichiro downs his entire cup in one go, feeling the liquid courage warm his insides. 'Go for it!' He internalizes and stands up from his seat to move up the table some.

'Only one day left.' He thinks as he passes the Crane.

'You're only young once!' Echoes the words of his grandfather the day of his retirement as he passes the Phoenix.

'No ragrats.' He had seen that etched into a stone somewhere, no idea why that passed through his head as he passed the Scorpion.

The Unicorn made him a little nervous, so he kept his thoughts quiet as he passed them.

'Almost there, don't crane out.' he thought as he passed the Crab delegation.

And here he was, "Umm, may I sit" he asked, "Mirumoto-san?"

The girl looks at Eichiro with a puzzled expression

"Why would I mind? We are all here to share in each others company, are we not? And there is an open seat"

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"I did- uh, it's onl-" he stammers.

'Shut up!' says his inner Ikoma-shiryo.

"Thank you." Eichiro sits in the empty seat, he spends a moment getting settled. Confidence! Project confidence! You're a child of Ikoma.

"So," he speaks, his voice suddenly much deeper. He coughs and takes a drink to start over. "So," he continues, a more normal tone, "quite a gathering, I'm glad that everyone is able to get together and set aside the competition of the tournament. It's quite a different environment, more formal in dress, but more relaxed in atmosphere, don't you think?"

[Iuchi Prashant]

Nesrin represses the urge to tuck back an unruly strand of Prashant's hair, and then stares a moment at the Moto's new clothes, for rather different reasons than Nobuko. "Washamo...ah no, surely Moto-sama in those robes. It is you in there, yes? Just making sure?" she teases.

"Tea, Battle Maiden?" Kokyou dashes in front of her with a cup in hand to offer.

She chuckles. "Thank you Kokyou-san, but there's no reason you should be serving tonight." She gestures at a few of the veritable army of servants keeping a dinner like this moving. "The Crane provide more than enough people to handle serving all the competitors. Sit and share the dinner." She reaches with the very pretty chopsticks provided to lift several treats from on of the platters to a plate and passing it to him before plucking several more for herself.

Prash's monkly serenity is still there, but accompanied by an easy, radiant smile. He is happy with the food, happy with seeing all his friends and colleagues from Hirosaka, as well as a number of new faces succeeding - including the hotheaded Mantis, despite all cards played against him - and happier still with this occasion and the chance to celebrate with his dear - and dearest - friends.

As he sees Nesrin looking intently at him, then apparently stopping herself from doing something and speaking to Ichiro, he instinctively - and covertly... with limited success - takes a hand to his face, fumbling around for any stray pieces of rice, smears of soy sauce or anything else that might have found its way there. Slightly frustrated at finding nothing, he strokes through his hair, finding the rebel strand and smoothing it back - which makes two other strands spring up even more wildly.

"Moto-sama", he says, slightly affectedly after silently laughing a bit at Nesrin's comment. "Getting some practice for an Imperial... event, ma?"

He then sees the Mantis behind them and waves to him, smiling friendly - "Kokyou-san! Come on, join us for a moment". Just as he finishes, he hears Ginkarasu's toast, reaching for a cup and looking at Nes, the Ichiros, Hazrat and Kokyou, inviting them for the toast -

"KANPAI!", he says, surprisingly loud and happy for his usual self.

The toast was the necessary distraction to politely avoid Prash's invitation –– at this moment –– to keep on his path to get to Nobuko. He had something important to solve, but Nesrin's pretty face appeared. As Mantis, he would never deny her the courtesy of a compliment.

As he continuous unimpeded by the social pressure of his peers, he finally reaches out the Imperial. Kokyou bows deeply, and grins. Yes, there was something more to the grin, but he's polite enough to be acknowledged first.

[Togashi Dao]

He then sees the Mantis behind them and waves to him, smiling friendly - "Kokyou-san! Come on, join us for a moment". Just as he finishes, he hears Ginkarasu's toast, reaching for a cup and looking at Nes, the Ichiros, Hazrat and Kokyou, inviting them for the toast -

After the toast, a familiar figure drops heavily into the seat that Prashant was offering to Kokyou, a slightly short and squat figure clad in a green pair of hakama and a silk top in a golden yellow.

He bows politely to Iuchi Prashant on his left, and Utaku Oichi on his right, offering a great smile to all. "It seems Agasha-sama's exercise was a success, all the students from Hirosaka have performed quite well."

“Indeed, it should certainly put her concern to rest. The students who weren’t at the dojo all succeeded as well, proving that the clans are doing well in teaching. Tomorrow will be an exciting day. Are you ready?”

[Otomo Nobuko]

The Iuchi smiles and bows to the Togashi as well, then works on getting his cup filled again.

"So it seems ne, Togashi-san! And that despite some hardships along the way. In fact... it seems like her success also extended to samurai able to work together despite possible differences to overcome difficulties, ne?" He smiles broadly.

He then nods respectfully to Oichi.

"Tomorrow will be exciting and... hard.", he says, still smiling, a bit contemplative. Knowing Iuchi-trained priests are unable to take part in Taryu Jiai, Oichi might have an idea what he's pondering about.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan fidgeted around. He is not good in a place like this his new safety blanket is not around. He continued to watch people gather with friends. He shook his head. He wouldn't bother Jiro. He wanted to disappear. Keep watching... Analyse... wait for the right moment... Strike... disappear... wait I can't disappear in a duel... Damn.

[Moto Ichiro]

Ichiro chuckles a little "Technically yes Moto-sama is the proper address for me since I got a promotion after Nadaam." He replied equally teasing. "Father thought it best that I put my best foot forward at celebrations and mother......well she was a crane after all. I dont understand how other clans wear these things all the time, not nearly as comfortable as pants and a vest."

"Kampai!" He raised his own glass with a grin at the toast.

[Kakita Kenji]

Kaidan fidgeted around. He is not good in a place like this his new safety blanket is not around. He continued to watch people gather with friends. He shook his head. He wouldn't bother Jiro. He wanted to disappear. Keep watching... Analyse... wait for the right moment... Strike... disappear... wait I can't disappear in a duel... Damn.

"Kaidan-san, are you alright?" Kenji asked, a small cup of sake in hand.

[Togashi Dao]

"Your lessons still resonate within me Utaku-sensei. I have practiced what you taught me since we were separated. I hope to show you how much I have grown tomorrow." He answers with a shallow smile but deep eye contact.
