(Day 6, LE) Celebration Feast (Roleplay Thread)

[Togashi Dao]

Dao let the servant guide him to his seat. He didn't know there was going to be a potentially lethal fight later tonight, but he still ate like it was his last meal.

A lot of work had gone into this and he made sure that he would taste everything at least once, so that he didn't insult any of the chefs, although he couldn't help going back for seconds and thirds of some of his favourites.

[Kitsuki Asahi]

Asahi looked over everything, feasting with his eyes. He wondered how long it had taken to prepare it all. Of course, he also wondered how it would all taste.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I don't even know exactly what happened. Just that they went together to buy something for Kakita-domo, decided on sake and he used Kenji-kun as a taster. Then Kenji-kun couldn't remember more. Got him drunk for some reason."

Ginkarasu nods. "We should go get seated. I think Crab go up early in the gift process."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He nods, looking for the other Yasuki. Not finding him, he just looks for a place with two adjacent empty seats.

[Utaku Nesrin]

Elegant in finery borrowed from her grandmother, Nesrin finds her seat. The heavy fabric is smoothed around her as she looks all the delicate and artfully arranged dishes with delight.

[Iuchi Prashant]

Unlike many others, Prashant arrives to the celebration in a very similar outfit as what he usually wore. He had done his best to keep his feet and the lower part of his robes clean, with relative success. His hair was more neatly arranged than usual - although still a bit messy - and some of the ornaments some had already seen him using to call on the spirits' favours were now playing a more mundane role. All in all, it was still clearly someone who did not much care for wordly concerns such as wealth and finery, but in his own way, the Iuchi looked somewhat stylish.

[Moto Ichiro]

Arriving with the Unicorn posse people may well be shocked to find that Ichiro had worn a kimono! A sight no one can ever before remember seeing even at the ceremony at Hirosoka. It was an incredibly well made kimono in Unicorn colors, it wouldn't have looked out of place at a Winter Court! His hair had been groomedand held back with a ponytail and his beard braided in a traditional style. All in all most would likely say he cleans up well.

The big Moto followed along with his friends and sat near them joking and eating as the night continued.

[Otomo Nobuko]

Nobuko's eyes followed Ichiro from the moment he entered the hall to the time he sat down and they kept returning to him despite how much she fanned herself and forced her eyes away. She had never seen him dressed so properly before. His attractiveness in such clothes nearly rivaled his attractiveness without a shirt and she had to focus on those around her as much as she could to keep from swooning.

She would have to scold him later for distracting her so... no. No. Speaking to him while he was dressed like that would be disastrous for her composure. She needed to wait until he was back in those horrid leathers his clan adored so much so she could have a good, physical reminder to keep her distance. Then she would scold him.

And possibly ask that he wear such again sometime when they had a moment of privacy. That she might have a better look at such... quality fabric.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan placed a finger in the bridge of his nose. He should have smuggled the cat with him. I should have worn a costume. I hate this stupid meetings. I should be doing something more productive... Keep a watchful eye and don't let people distract you... Right You are the ghost of this place... perhaps... NO NO NO... no getting into trouble... no snooping around... I am so bored... Come on... no one will notice... really can't play that game right now... or can I?... NO... NO.. NO must keep face of the clan when there is a face to save... keep calm focus... meditate... yes Meditate.

Kaidan sat in seiza and tried to meditate to keep such weird thoughts out of his head.

[Kokyou]

"Tea, Battle Maiden?" Kokyou dashes in front of her with a cup in hand to offer.

Ginkarasu thought Nobuko looked thirsty. He asked some of the servants to go and make sure she had whatever she was wanting to drink.

[Utaku Nesrin]

Nesrin represses the urge to tuck back an unruly strand of Prashant's hair, and then stares a moment at the Moto's new clothes, for rather different reasons than Nobuko. "Washamo...ah no, surely Moto-sama in those robes. It is you in there, yes? Just making sure?" she teases.

She chuckles. "Thank you Kokyou-san, but there's no reason you should be serving tonight." She gestures at a few of the veritable army of servants keeping a dinner like this moving. "The Crane provide more than enough people to handle serving all the competitors. Sit and share the dinner." She reaches with the very pretty chopsticks provided to lift several treats from on of the platters to a plate and passing it to him before plucking several more for herself.

Nobuko had plenty to drink, and waved at Ginkarasu from further down the table when the servants came to check on her.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu waves back, happy to see that his friend was happy.

Kokyou bows to Nesrin’s polite refusal. He drinks the tea, instead and keeps on dashing with nods to all the competitors.

He had no idea who was thirsty or not. He didn’t even got the joke the Yasuki potentially made. Avoiding that kid was something rather natural for no sound reason.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu looks around. "So. Does anyone know why there's a giant statue on the mountain now? Who is it supposed to be?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"It's the Temple of the Celestial Crab-" he looks over to the mountain of prizes and frowns. "What is this?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I mean, on the mountain outside of town Aiichiro-sama." He says. "At least, I think it's a statue."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Ah. It makes more sense then. That katana statue over there isn't particularly giant. Do you want to investigate it with me tomorrow?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"If there's time. We've both gotta win a bunch of duels first!" He grins. "Which reminds me."

He straightens his On, grabs his drink and stands. "If I may have your attention please?"

He looks around the room, holding up his drink. When he thinks he's got some attention; "I'll be quick and brief! We have a wonderful evening thanks to our host. I want to honor all of you in our competition. A toast to you all! May we all honor our ancestors and Empire tomorrow, as we have thus far! It is wonderful to see everyone's skill, and to know that my generation has so much talent as we go forward into heaven-warned times. Kampai!"
