The young boy comes along shortly and prostrates himself before Kenji

"You sent for me, samurai-sama?"

[Kakita Kenji]

"Yes, tell me, Chen, how have the last days treated you?"

"Other than my time in the cell? Not terrible. Sister says she is leaving though to be handmaiden to an Imperial. I'm a bit sad about that. I don't want to be alone."

[Kakita Kenji]

"It's a great Honor for her and your bloodline, but no one should be alone, so i have a Question for you: Does any Samurai approached you for work?" He asked.

[Vutall]

"No, samurai-sama. None. After I was released, I simply went home. No one has sent for me or come to visit."

[Kakita Kenji]

Kenji sighed internally.

"Please sit up." He said to Chen who still was on the ground.
"First of all, I'm Kakita Kenji, please address me as Kakita-sama. Second, please tell of you interests and skills."

The boy sits up, but keeps his head down, eyes on the round.

"Kakita-sama, my family were weavers, though I am poor at the skill. As far as where my own interests lie...I've always wanted to be a fighter!"

[Kakita Kenji]

"A fighter you say? Have you practiced the art before?" Kenji asked friendly

[Vutall]

"Nothing serious like you have Kakita-sama. Just some of the boys and I will go down by the river and practice moves we have seen some of the Samurai and Ashigaru do"

[Kakita Kenji]

"I see. The life of a Budoka is a dangerous and mostly deadly adventure, are you willing to take this risk?"

[Vutall]

"Oh, most certainly Kakita-sama!"

[Kakita Kenji]

"Look at me" Kenji orderd, then continued:

"I will become Gokenin after my Gempukku tommorow, Chen. As a matter of fact i'm going to oversee a small village to the south with the name of Akai hanagasaku-mura, maybe you heard of it. I could put you in my service as a Budoka, if you wish to serve me."

[Vutall]

"Kakita-sama is my master, but if he would allow it, that sounds wonderful!"

Chen looks at Kenji with excitement showing

[Kakita Kenji]

"So be it. I will speak with Kakita-dono when my gempukku is complete to further your transfer to my service. As you have said you have no lord to report to directly, so i want you to show up tommorow in the early morning, bathed and dressed in sturdy clothing. Present yourself to one of the Servents of the Academy, tell them i called for your service, they shall lead you to the Dojo Grounds. You will assist me in my Morning Training-Routine before the Iaijutsu Tournament." he said to Chen.

“Yes, Kakita-sama!”

Chen looks overjoyed and incredibly eager

[Kakita Kenji]

"Good. I'll await you tomorrow then." he said.

[Kokyou]

Once within the Academy itself, Kokyou finds the same spot he had first arrived to and observes the students training. He doesn't manage to focus at all since there's too much for the eyes to see.
