"Oh, really? Can you describe him? If he saw you dueling i guess he must be a Kakita!"

She nodded a bit. "Well, he was shaved bald when I met him, middle aged and rough from the road. He was also a ronin. I've since learned he was on a Musha Shugyo when we met, and it the duel was our only real interaction of skill, though we talked a bit. He never talked about his past, as well he shouldn't have if I understand the tradition right, but we just talked about life on the road and the good and bad of a life without a lord. We had a friendly duel, I lost, and he went on his way. Then about a month ago I got a letter from the man with an invitation here. He never signed his name, but it was a letter from your clan."

Kaidan took a side step and back to the shadows he went... Ninya should be his solace. Kaidan does good things to people but life gives him lemons. He should just stay in the shadows and not speak to anyone.

"If you just found it on the street, it was definitely a stray. Many Hinin keep cats because they catch rats, but hardly anyone has an overview of who belongs to whom. You give her something special, Kaidan-san, a home."

"Kakita san, maybe you can help me get in touch with my Crane ancestry and perhaps grow a nice friendship." He opened up to the young Crane. "I will be glad to be taught by you, Kakita sensei."
