[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He need to see a shugenja, one who was good on water as Yotsuo said. He didn't know much about shugenja, but he knew one who knew how to manipulate water, was powerful, and would maybe be interested in things that could fight the taint away. Aiichiro so sought Asako Himeya, who should be a guest of the Kakita Estate. A letter in hand explaining the situation and another to request entrance, he walked towards the entrance of the Estate and gave both to a servant, waiting outside for their answer.

Then he remembered that he should do the entire Tea Cerimony process and regretted almost immediately not only sending a letter asking Himeya to come outside or to analyze it and find him tomorrow after the training matches. Too late now to change your mind, I guess. He asked himself if he would do the cerimony thing with Toshimoko, Himeya or both. Would both of them be on the Estate at this hour, even?

A gentle breeze passed by.

At his arrival, one of the guards stopped him and asked him what his business was at the estate. Being given the letters, they nodded and sent them inside. Not long after, Asako Himeyo comes to the gate.

"Hello, Kaiu-san. I received your letter, please come in."

The guards move aside to allow the boy to pass.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He bowed and, one hand closed at his chest, followed her. "I'm thankful for this." He takes the cup from his furisode as they walked, closing the button after drawing it and merely gazing at the garden in the remaining of their short walk.

[Vutall]

"That is quite the story, and the claim, Kaiu-san. Have you tried it with anything yet?"

She leads him to the gardens so they can have pleasant scenery as they talk.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"I was testing to see if it only worked if held by me and if I drank from the cup, so I gave it to my friend. He drank a bottle of sake from the cup and holding the cup, and din't get drunk."

[Vutall]

"That is quite impressive, though I would caution you in the future to never utilize something like this without having it first checked by a Shugenja specifically. Monks and Priests are spiritual and have connection, but not in the same way we do. "

She motions

"Please, set the cup down?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He nods. "Hai, sensei. Talking about this, I also have a cloak a Tengu gave me. It seems to imbalance my elements, but I have control over how it does so. Would you like me to bring it for you after we finish this meeting as well?"
He puts the cup down in the ground and steps back.

"Yes, that should be inspected as well. But how on earth did you get something like that?"

She places her hands over the cup and whispers a prayer

After a few moments, she nods.

"This item is indeed a nemuranai, and it has the ability to prevent whatever substance a person who drinks directly from it from suffering any negative effects. It is safe to use."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"I won a drinking competition some tanuki hosted." He answered. "The night before last at a sake house. This was the prize." Not very proud from basically saying he went to get drunk whilst on duty, but he did earn something valuable from that.
He blinks a few times.
"Any negative effects?"

[Vutall]

"And the cloak of a Tengu? As far as downsides, none that the kami have revealed to me."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"A Tengu gave it to us after we played a game of riddles together. There should be four or five of them."

[Vutall]

"Tengu, Tanuki, Goblins, Zokujin ruins...The lot of you students who were selected by the Ruby Champion sure have a lot of spiritual matters effect you."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"I have nothing to do with spirits on me that I know of. Is there a way to check if I'm affected by the spirits? At first I thought others were, but many things happened with me specifically, although only when I'm here. Maybe they are afraid of the Wall, though."

[Vutall]

"Some Kitsu Shugenja are able to sense that sort of thing, but other than that specific family school, I am not aware."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Do we have any Kitsu competitors?" Having to spend his after-gempukku time even farther from the Crab picked his bad side. "Or healers?"

[Vutall]

"There is one competitor I believe. His name is Kitsu Tsubasa."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He nods. "I will go see him. Thank you for everything."
He takes the cup from the ground. "Do you think it can protect one against the Taint?"

[Vutall]

"I have no knowledge on that subject, your Clan are the experts in that area. And, Kaiu-san...as a friendly piece of advice, don't bring that subject up inside the Empire. It is very improper."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He nods. "It's just very important. The reason I wanted it checked in the first place." He looks down. "I'll bring to test it with the Kuni when I'm back home."

[Vutall]

"That would be most wise. Also, I would suggest you do not let others outside of your Lord know about this object. Keep it secret. "
