Looking between the two, she looked back to Wyn to answer. "I do not mean I acted as a yojimbo. There are many things to guard, and not all can have a Daidoji spared for it. Some things, like merchant caravans, are not worth a clan escort."

There was no direct response to Dao's statement.

[Miya Wyn]

"Too bad the Crane don't have a family of dedicated merchant guards like the Yasuki, perhaps they should invest in something like that"

[Mirai]

She knew quite enough about history to stay out of THAT discussion. "I did, and still do, what is needed of me Miya-sama, no more or less. I have worked for the Crab and the Scorpion as well before, so I believe all clans have odd jobs that they wish others to take the burden of."

[Togashi Dao]

Dao listened to the conversation, but was mostly focused on watching the workers go about their tasks.

"Perhaps a fine showing here will provide you the opportunity to raise you above such....jobs for hire?"

"I will always do what I must Togashi-sama. Doing what I must for a lord would certainly be a fine change."
