I have Hands of Stone? Will that change my damage for the sumai event? I only want to keep 1 die if possible.

Damage is as listed in the event, no changes to it.

After the event you can heal you and your opponent if you wish, but not others

Looking ahead at the Sumai event, if you cast a spell that has an hour long effect does it last the entire event?

Second, can you cast the same spell on yourself twice if it has a different buff?

Yes, it would last effectively for the whole event.

You can only attempt one of each for an event: Spell, Kiho, Kata, Tattoo

Since Contested Roll have no actual TN per the core rules, do called raises decrease the overall rolled result by 5 each, instead?

For combat tests, does the initiative roll also use the chosen ring? Or does remain insight rank/reflexes?

The order of instruction makes that slightly vague.

Battle Maiden tech allows +honor to one attack per round (which is all of them at this point). With this being a skirmish, does that mean each contested Jiujitsu roll counts as a round? Events are a bit abstracted from usual combat, so I wanted to check.

Each roll is considered a "Round" for all events marked in their rules as a "combat" or "skirmish"

Also on the Sumai matches - Just occurred to me after seeing someone's post - does the Jujutsu 3 ability grant a +1k0 to damage?

Bonds can't be used in 1 on 1 if the person is required to be in the thread since your match doesn't have them in the same thread as you unless they are your opponent.
