Fishing Ravens (Expecting)

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"It brings me some memories." Throwing bricks at the head of Zokujin memories, so not so good ones. It was intended to sound poetical, but his posture got stiff.
"You have been helding it for too long, though. It must longs for your hand."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"But it's a gift I can give. Something made by the world. And you said you're not likely to see it. So giving you a memory is better."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He smiles slightly. "Thank you, Ginkarasu-san. But how so things break on your hands?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I drop them. Or bowstrings snap. Or a bird flies by and drops something and knocks it out of my hand. Or.." he thinks back, "a roof tile cracks and slides off a roof. Or a dog jumps up and surprises me. I've had to learn to be really observant whenever I can."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

Aiichiro thought for some instants which foul had this soul done on their past life to deserve something like this. "If you break it, just send me a ltter and I will craft something else." He says, a slight grim slowly growing at the side of his mouth. "Now... Push under the toy."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He looks a little confused, but picks the toy up and pushes the bottom of it.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

It did fall to the side, lines inside the wooden limbs of the thing holding it to the base.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Oh no! It broke!" He exclaims loudly, no longer pushing it.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He starts laughing even before the toy gets up again as the button was released.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Wow!" He looks the toy over, trying to figure out how it stood back up. Then he makes it fall back down.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He draws his fan, hiding his laughter uneffectively with it. "If you may, I would please ask to have it back before the Dog only. Kitsuki-sensei told me I could show it to Agasha-sama."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Oh! Absolutely!" He looks up, setting the toy down. "I'll be very careful with it before then."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Next time I'll make something that jumps. I just had already asked for the materials beforehand."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"They can jump?!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Using the same mechanism catapults use, yes."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

His eyebrows raise up.

"What about...like. Miniature catapults, that could fling rocks really fast?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Yes, what about those? We call them models." He stopped for a while, then realizing. "Ah. Basically those exist, too. And are really common. The adults test their designs first on miniatures to see if the general mechanism works before trying to do, you know, movement tree entire trees of wood that may break uselessly. But once done they are sometimes stored as reference, sometimes given to children. More commonly one's own."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He nods at that. And then grins.

"If you worked with the Agasha, I bet you could get fireworks to go really high!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He grinned back.
"You are creative. The Kaiu would like this."
In any way, he looks to the pile and start searching over it for throwing rocks.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu plays with the toy for awhile. Then goes back to looking through the stone pile for good rocks.
