A little tea to sooth the soul (Open)

[Otomo Nobuko]

Nobuko found a quite place to sit and relax while she centered herself, conducting a private tea ceremony before signaling the servant waiting for orders to open the shoji and allow her to be seen.

She then sat with a tea cup in hand and observed those passing by. It was their final day and she did not care about chores or duties outside classes. She would spend it in reflection and relaxation.

[Iuchi Prashant]

After his final martial test in the Ruby Dojo, the Iuchi sits at the yard outside in the lotus position to, once more, do something he's done many times here. The mix of the sounds, smells, the feeling of the ground and the memories of his learning here was profound, and when he stepped up he was feeling renewed.

After his time there, he moves to a quieter place to try a private Tea Ceremony for the second time. He actually found he enjoyed doing that quite a bit... Maybe he'd take the time to learn more about how to conduct one later.

When he was done, he tidied up most of the utensils, poured some more tea for himself, and took a look around - finding the Otomo doing just the same nearby. When he sees her, he bows low while smiling respectfully.

"Otomo-sama. Good morning! It is a pleasure to see you well after what happened some days ago." he pauses for a while, wondering if she was perhaps waiting for someone and he might be intruding. "Ah... Do I bother?"

"Iuchi-san," she inclined her head his way but did not make to get up or move from her clearly relaxed position. If anyone was going to be moving closer to someone, it would not be her.

"You do not. You are as welcome as the light of the sun," she said pleasantly. "You are well yourself?"

[Kokyou]

Kokyou hears the Imperial's voice and his concentration is broken immediately. He rises up, bows to Prash, and provides a deeper bow to Nobuko and stays there semi-frozen until addressed.

Nobuko turns her head to face the Mantis who had pulled himself out of his own meditative state and joined them properly.

"Kokyou-san. Hello. Did you find peace in the moment?" she asked, referring to his attempt to meditate.

He smiles, shaking his head negatively.

[Otomo Nobuko]

"That is a shame. Why don't you join us for tea? The ceremony is over, but the pot is still full," she offered serenely and gestured for a place near to them. "And I don't think anyone will object to a quiet cup on our last day here."

[Kokyou]

Kokyou sits down in seiza dusting off his thighs once proper like a samurai. He nods to Nobuko and keeps his mouth shut as she mentioned.

He smiles at her, still bowed. "I am, thank you Otomo-sama." He looks around for a moment "Slightly... Nostalgic, I guess. This has been an interesting experience, hasn't it?"

He then bows to the Mantis as he approaches. "Kokyou-san! It's good to see you again".

He then addresses both "Mind if I join you for the tea as well?"

Nobuko moved to pour tea for the two of them and nodded to Prashant, "Please do. Pleasant company is always welcome. And we should enjoy what time we have here with friends."

Once poured, she held a cup out to each of them in turn, holding it by the bottom with both hands and bowing her head when they reached out to take it. She acted almost as if she were hosting them in her home: just formal enough to be polite, but informal enough to convey some of the intimacy friendship assumed.

Kokyou fistbumps Prashant with a nod and a sip of the tea. Then, his eyes get back to analyze Nobuko's graceful movements.

Nobuko's movements were very graceful indeed. Despite being dressed in the same student uniform they were all required to wear for classes, somehow it just seemed to have a sense of being better fit than most. Perhaps it was because she was the oldest student and thus most... mature. In appearance and grace.

The Iuchi approaches the Otomo and Kokyou, sitting down besides them with his own cup in hand, but for the time being just sips at his tea smiling and observing their exchange
