Trying Tea Again (Expecting)

She sighs at what a more forward or coquettish girl would have thought a wasted opportunity.

"Hour of the Monkey, then?" she asks.

And perhaps I ought to read some of those pillow books I've heard others giggle about, she thinks.

"The hour of the monkey it is," he said, nodding, the smile still there. Having study partners made everything easier, and he really had no clue what the hell to make of the letter he'd been sent. He assumed it was complementary in some fashion, but it had him stumped in the extreme. Offering her a bow, he looked over the tea set. "Do you require any assistance in cleanup before I depart today?"
