Event: Blood Money

[Moto Ichiro]

"I'll come too, no telling how dangerous it is out there. They may have sent more than 4 drunks." He said moving to the other side of Nesrin.

Ichiro was in a somber mood after the killing and fighting not pumped up like some others.

[Togashi Dao]

"It was I who removed him from this passing of the Wheel, I should help speed him to the next." Dao opined as he stood over one of the dead peasants. "I don't know the rituals, but I will lend what aid I can."

[Utaku Nesrin]

Nesrin nods to each of the boys offering to come stand before whatever sensei gets to be woken at this hour, actually a bit grateful not to stand in that gaze all by herself. "They might need to wait till daytime to even see where all the blood went," she says as they skirt sleeping or half-awake students. "It's doing to have gotten everywhere."

[Iuchi Prashant]

Prashant nodded again. "Hai, Moto-san. Take care out there, minna-san."

He then turns to Dao, looking serious. "I have participated in a few cleansing and burial rituals during my training, Togashi-san. This is the first time I will be in charge of one, but I think I can do it. Thank you for your assistance..."

He then fetches an incense brazier and some candles near his mat, starts setting them around the room and lights the candles, one by one, then the brazier, which he holds in his hand.

"I will need to do some more cleasing after the heimin are removed, but we can at least start."

[Vutall]

As the small group of students converse, the door to the barracks opens and a group of sensei holding lanterns enters with a look of concern on their face.

Seeing all of those awake, and the bodies on the floor, one of them calls out in a hushed voice

"Come out here, quickly and quietly!"

[Kokyou]

"Aye!" He coughs, adjusting the accent, "Hai, sensei!"

[Iuchi Prashant]

As Prash hears the Sensei's voice, he looks around again, concerned, but blows out the candles he had lit and puts out the fire in the brazier, then looks at Dao, then at the direction the voice came from, and nods again. "Well, I suppose the ritual will have to wait", he says, in a more hushed voice, then starts making his way to the Sensei quietly, trying to avoid stepping on any of the other students.

[Togashi Dao]

"I will need to do some more cleasing after the heimin are removed, but we can at least start."

Dao follows the instructions given, all the time wishing he'd paid more attention in Theology class...until they were interrupted.

[Moto Ichiro]

Ichiro nodded and sighed "I doubt we'll get any real sleep tonight. Lessons tomorrow are going to be a nightmare." He lamented briefly.

The sensei appear and Ichiro grimaced and walked out into the open with them never even having time to throw on a vest.

[Utaku Nesrin]

Already halfway there, Nesrin continues toward the door in Utaku's own silence as instructed.

The students are met by four of the sensei; Hida Goroharu, Kakita Naomori, Asako Himeya, and Utaku Oichi, as well as a guard who has a few coils of rope slung over his shoulder.

"Explain yourselves", Utaku Oichi exclaims sternly, motioning to the rope on the guards shoulder.

[Kokyou]

Kokyou is, for some reason, actually enjoying being scolded. Even if he had nothing to do with this.

[Utaku Ichiro]

Ichiro, having the note in his possession, steps forward and presents it to the sensei, "We were attacked in our sleep by ruffians. It seems they think a student here stole something from them and wanted to prove 'who ran this city'. Their bravado was not well placed...."

[Vutall]

The Battle Maiden takes the note and looks over it before a serious concern washes over her face and she hands the note to another sensei, who does the same until all have read the note.

"Is anyone hurt?"

[Utaku Nesrin]

Nesrin admits to her minor wound with a bow that has a bit of a wince in it. "Only a scrape, sensei. They weren't at all prepared for what they would face here."

[Vutall]

The Asako motions for Nesrin to come over to her while the Utaku keeps speaking.

"You say they attacked you, and the note says some students stole from an establishment. Did any of you do such a thing?"

[Utaku Nesrin]

Nesrin shakes her head, while allowing the Asako her examination through the cut fabric of her sleeping kimono.

[Moto Ichiro]

Ichiro waited until Asako sensei was done with Nesrin before he would come forward. The one had punched him pretty hard in the jaw, he held his tongue unless addressed directly.

[Utaku Ichiro]

The younger Utaku shakes his head, "Who would even stoop to stealing from peasants? Theft in general is dishonor enough let alone that."

[Togashi Dao]

Dao steps up, eager to be helpful. "One of them said something about 'Watcher not being happy' when the fight turned against them, if that means anything? Do you think they had a lookout who might have escaped?"
