He started to climb up a tree that was near the bath house to see if from there he could jump on the roof... Even if it was rainind.

While they were up in the trees, Nobuko distracted herself with trying to find any frogs already on the ground among the leaves the rain had knocked down, shuffling a foot from side to side very lightly so as not to harm any of the creatures while she moved the leaves around.

Day 3 Hare To Hunt Frogs - Athletics/Strength: 4d10o10k2 27

There are only a small handful of frogs in the elevated position, most are on the ground, mingling with their frog-kind.

[Utaku Nesrin]

Nesrin climbs without any trouble. "Hardly any frogs up here at all. Maybe the poisonous ones have already cleared out? Or some of the sensei took care of them?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Yeah, probably. Or someone made the same mistake I did, or is just really scared of frogs." He says, but entering the ceiling just to be sure, moving a lot of tiles to make up for illumination.

[Otomo Nobuko]

"That would be quite a relief it they have cleared them already," Nobuko calls up to them, continuing her frog hunt with sweeps of her feet through the leaves. She pauses, blinking a moment, fairly certain she had found one. Yes, she had! But was it poisonous? Well, no... probably not. Kaiu-san had said the others around weren't. But perhaps it would be best to try and catch it and move it somewhere safe regardless?

[Utaku Nesrin]

Nesrin chuckles a bit. "Scared of frogs?" She spots another of the charming little tree frogs. "Who could be scared of them? They're so tiny and soft." Still, she does keep looking for a few more minutes just to be sure the tree frogs are the only ones around.

[Vutall]

All of the frogs look like normal, small green tree frogs. They must have spawned in the area in some standing water to be so many in the area last spring.

[Utaku Nesrin]

The young Unicorn hops down, landing lightly. "Well these all look fine. We could chase them away, but they'd just come back, I expect." She passes the gloves back to Nobuko. "Thanks Otomo-sama. Glad we didn't have to use them, but they would have been handy if there was any real poison to deal with. Lucky you came by."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He climbs back to the roof, putting the sections back the best of his ability. Soon he discovered that it was much hard than he thought, and he cleaned the sides of the roof tiles so they could be put together like pieces in the roof puzzle. This took some time, effort and dampening.
Aiichirō cleaned down from the roof, getting back to the two girls, bowing. "Thank you two."

[Utaku Nesrin]

"No worries, I'm glad to help. Wouldn't really want to bathe with deadly frogs, you know." She scuffs the ground with her toe, "sorry I should have helped put the tiles back too."

[Otomo Nobuko]

Nobuko accepted her gloves back, shifting the umbrella to the other shoulder while quietly keeping the frog she had found hedged in by her feet and the bottom of her robe, "Should we not gather some of these up and move them somewhere safer for the rest of the students? While it's not likely any will be poisonous, with there being a rumor of such, our Kohai could feel they are in danger if there is not a clear path to the baths."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"There are too many, it would take time, and I wish too to take a bath. It is easier to make an announcement or tell everyone individually that they are not poisonous. Spread a counter-rumour of sort." He says, taking off the tie from his hair and massaging it to let the water there run into the ground. "I am not in any sort of publicly apresentable appearance, though."

[Utaku Nesrin]

"I can certainly tell everyone I know that the frogs by the baths are nothing to worry about," Nesrin offers. She's not sure that's really a counter-rumor, but it seems straightforward enough. "But yes, getting the baths we came for before we're late to lessons would be a good idea."

"I kind of wish I knew a good way to keep one. We consider them to be lucky. But I have no idea how to keep one healthy."

[Otomo Nobuko]

"You consider the frogs to be lucky?" Nobuko repeated, not really asking despite how it came across as a question. "Then we should catch one for you. I'm certain one of the Sensei can speak on how to care for them."

And maybe she could catch one for Moto Ichiro, as a gift for the offer of teaching her to ride a horse.

[Utaku Nesrin]

The Utaku nods, even if it wasn't really a question. "They bring good fortune and wealth, partly because of the way they just seem to spring up from the ground after a good rain. I've seen embroidery with it raining coins or rice and frogs."

"You're right, I'll bet there's at least one of the sensei who would know how to care for them. We could keep a few in one of the bathwater buckets...or two stacked together so they can't just climb out." They're tree frogs after all. For her part, Nesrin is already imagining the nighttime serenade of lucky cricket and lucky frogs. Something that not all the students are likely to be pleased about in the hours of trying to sleep.

[Otomo Nobuko]

"Perhaps a cricket cage, but larger? At least for now?" she suggested while awkwardly pulling on her gloves and keeping her umbrella tucked against her with the side of an arm and the crook of her shoulder.

Once the gloves were on, she looked to the Crab, "Kaiu-san, would you hold my umbrella so I may attempt to catch the frog at my food?"

Since the students were relatively motionless in their discussion, a few of the frogs had hopped close to them. One even clings to the Otomo's leg as if she were a tree, its tiny frog eyes staring up at her.
