No, if you have the enemy void the damage, then you count as only having dealt 6.

The NPC's have Void 2 and Earth 2, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Elemental Imbalance in the book doesn't give a TN penalty, and I can't find it in the modified disadvantages. To what is this referring?

The kami of one element favor you, but so much so that their voices sometimes overpower your will and cause your invocations to achieve results other than what you intended. Only shugenja may take this Disadvantage. Choose an element in which you do not possess a Deficiency. Whenever you cast a spell of this element, you must make a Willpower Trait Roll at TN 15 + 5 per rank of this Disadvantage. If you fail the roll, something disastrous happens. The spell may fail outright, it may target someone altogether different from who you intended, or other effects as determined by the GM.

When choosing defense training does the +1 from meditation count towards Armor TN?

Just double checking: it says "at the end of the event you gain +1 to the ring used", that means our morning events can raise our rings before the evening events and affect our rolls then, yes? I.e. if I raise my Air ring, getting +1Aware/+1Ref, making my ring a 2 (2/2), in the afternoon event I can roll with 2 Reflexes, is this correct?

No, all rewards come at the start of the next game day, i worded it that way just to show that you get the reward for participating regardless of your roll outcomes.

Just to make sure - the rolls at the Shugenja/ Monk daily training use Ring+1/Ring regardless of whether one takes them as a Shugenja or a Monk, is that correct?

So if that is correct it would only be different for Meishodo Masters taking the test as shugenja, who would roll Artisan: Meishodo/ Ring instead?

And just to double check - if all that is correct, if a Meishodo Master convinces the sensei to take the test as a Monk, he'd roll Ring+1/ Ring instead of Artisan: Meishodo/ Ring then... is that right?

If you're within 5 feet at all times, doesn't that increase the TN by 10 because you're in melee with them?
