How Ore You?

[Kokyou]

After having cleaned much of training area after their exercise, Kokyou heads back inside to stow the tolls he used. Noticing the little Doji nearby, he makes time to fetch his traveling pack and approaches her, greeting, "Avast ye. How are ye this fine day?"

[Doji Sakura]

Sakura was notably putting little effort into the cleaning. Not by choice, she was just exhausted from all the activities today. She was slightly startled by the voice, turning and then bowing.

"Oh, Kokyou-san. Hello" she smiled "I am well, although aching and exhausted. Long day..."

[Kokyou]

"Aye. A long 'n successful day, filled wit' discoveries, learnin' 'n victories, aye." He nods and drops his traveling pack over the table where she was potentially dusting off to no avail. It produces a very solid, rigid, loud thump!

"I 'ave a surprise I know ye'll enjoy!" He says and begins to cackle.

[Doji Sakura]

Sakura jumped back.

"What in the world?"

[Kokyou]

“I know!” He laughs harder due her startled reaction.

Then, after a moment of silence, he creeps his hands toward the pack and looms over it, as if conjuring the elements to create something inside.

Siddenly, with a swooshing gesture, he opens up the pack showing two magnificent and brilliant metal ores.

“Ta daa! I bet ye can’t wait t' hammer this whole thing down into greatness. Twice, Says I!” He exclaims with excitement.

[Doji Sakura]

Sakura blinked, looking at the meta ores in slight confusion.

"Huh? What?"

[Kokyou]

“Hammer it down! In the forge! Bang, bang! Make sharp weapons. Remember? I got these fer ye.” Kokyou says, waving his hand over them again as if offering a jewel in a store to be looked at.

[Doji Sakura]

Sakura suddenly understood.

"Oh. Hai. So you found someone who said it's possible to do a gold trimmed um...what was the weapon again?"

[Kokyou]

"Kama!" He answers with a glint in his eyes. "Aye. A pair o' 'em. Let me show how it shall look like"

Kokyou produces a piece of parchment and charcoal from his pack and starts to sketch it out so she has an idea.

[Doji Sakura]

Sakura spent some time studying the design, before nodding.

"Hai, I can do that. It won't be easy with the silver lining on the blade edges, but it's possible. I'll start on it tomorrow after lessons."

[Kokyou]

Kokyou nods. "It it we be easy, it wouldna be fun. Also, take this as well. Ye mentioned silver."

The Mantis boy takes the rings from his fingers and place them on top of the pieces of ore. "I don't 'ave gold wit' me, though. Ye mentioned it afore."

[Doji Sakura]

"Silver is better than gold for this, so that's fine" Sakura looked concerned "you're giving up your own rings for this? Is it that important to you?"

She paused to think.

"Meet me at the forge later tomorrow with these, I'll begin right away. It's better I don't carry them with me in case the sensei thinks I've raided the stocks again."
