Scorpion in water

[Bayushi Kaidan]

After a long day, Kaidan decided to go to the bath house near the dojo. He needed to relax and have some time to think. He hoped that it was well maintained and no frogs would appear out of the underdeck. Those frogs are sneaky guys.

Kaiden spots a small tree frog on the wall a ways away, but it seems far enough that it would not bother him.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan frowned. It is far...away no need to panic. Hopefully it will go away. He lowered himself into the water.

[Bayushi Jiro]

There was a smooth sound as Jiro slid into the water a short distance away. "Good evening, cousin." He said, quietly, though he was peering in the direction that Kaidan was staring. "What is...going on?"

Unknown to either, the tree frog hops onto Jiro's head.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan still kept watch on the frog on the tree. "Gaeru on the tree..." He pointed to the frog he saw. "How have you been since I saw you last?" His eyes fixated on the frog on the tree unaware of the frog on the other Bayushi's head. "Where did it go?"

[Bayushi Jiro]

Jiro scooted a little closer to get an eye on the frog Kaidan was pointing out.

"I have been well. Surrounded by Mantis, Imperials, and Saburo-chan, mostly." He frowned peering at the trees. "I don't see anything..."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan squinted. "There was a frog there on that tree." He frowned. "I wonder where it went." The young Scorpion sighed. "I met a mantis last evening helped him out. There is a Unicorn with very gaijin name."

[Bayushi Jiro]

"The first Mantis I met--Kokyou?--seems to enjoy himself a great deal. Saburo-chan...seems like he doesn't enjoy himself so much as he really dislikes everyone else." He frowned. "Hopefully the Phoenix have distant shrines set aside for such turbulent shugenja."

A sigh. "It takes all kinds, I suppose." Jiro leaned back against the side of the pool to make himself comfortable.

"Riiiiiiibit. Riiiiibit."

[Bayushi Jiro]

Jiro jerked away from the edge of the bank. "That sounded close!"

He sounded a weird mix between excited and nervous. After all, it was one thing to see a frog...they were kinda neat...but it was entirely another matter to touch one.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan started his hypervigilance scouting for where the sound came from. He looked below the deck then looked at his cousin. His eyes grew wide as the sneaky frog was on top of the other Bayushi's head. "Ga....Ga... GAERU!" He moves as far as he could from the Bayushi pointing to his head.

[Bayushi Jiro]

Jiro reached up and touched his face, normal. Then up to the top of his head, SLIMY!.

"AAAH!" He shrieked and swiped his hands, inadvertently flinging the frog in Kaidan's direction.

"Crooooooooooak"

The frog lands on Kaidan, its sticky fingers clinging to his exposed shoulder

Now a full scream came from Kaidan's mouth. "Get off, get off, get off." He tries to slap the small amphibian from his shoulder.
