Kenji hadn't noticed the Hida either, he regretted having involved Wyn because of his selfishness, but it was too late to stop now. "It's an honor, Sensei," Kenji said intimidated as he bowed. "Um... what do we do next Mya-San?

"Um I ... um " Wyn looks slightly flustered and red in the face but he closes his eyes and centers himself and tries to pretend that there isn't a senior sensei standing over his shoulder watching "Repepepetitition," he swallows and clears his throat, "Repetition I mean, you need to try to hip swing and strike at the same time over and over again, find a good solid wall and hit it like a hundred or thousand times, but we need to make sure your motion is right first, otherwise there is no reason to practice the wrong motion over and over and over again"

Kenji looked at Wyn with an apologetic look "Then I will do my best, Mya-San, after all I asked you to teach me and you gave in to my request" Kenji said, fully aware of the guilt, may his ancestors be merciful.

Kenji reapeted the same motion as before, this time little better than before.

Wyn nods in response "Yes Sensei, Ten thousand times, of course" He swallows as the Hida corrections him, thus reminding him of being watched. He watches Kenji's form carefully as Kenji repeats the strike over and over again, "Yes...no...no, more shift in your hips...there that one was good....no not like that more swing...there yes, good, very good you are getting it...." He looks a little excited.

"Striking the air is only good for part of the training. To really hit home, you must spar with an opponent."

Kenji, who was already sweating, bowed briefly to the sensei. "Who do you wish me to spar with, Hida-sensei?"
Kenji knew he could not show any weakness now.

[Miya Wyn]

Wyn turns and bowed low to the Sensei, "Of course Sensei," He then turns back to Kenji, "You will learn little, but humility if you try to spar with Hida-sama and I am the only other one here, I do believe the choice is somewhat obvious." He drops into his own defensive stance and waves Kenji in his direction.

Kenji swallowed. He knew who Hida-Sensei was talking about, he just wanted to be polite.

Kenji stood in front of Wyn and bowed before he took a stand. He started by simply repeating the same kata as before and apparently he hit him with it.

Wyn doesn't quite get his block up in time, "good" he says as the Crane strikes the Imperial. "Again, repetition remember"

He apparently shows himself to be a better teacher then fighter apparently as he leads himself wide open as he asks Kenji to try again....Maybe he is working on the Crane's confidence?

Kenji concentrated on every maneuver he made and attacked Wyn when he opened his cover.

"Learning to grab and to escape a grab is fine, but to truly master unarmed combat, you must test your strength against your opponent. Hold on to them while they are trying to escape."

[Miya Wyn]

Wyn back pedals to the strike from Kenji, ending up on his rear in front of the Hida.

He looks up and nods, rising he bows in the Hida's direction then returns to face the Kakita, "Grappling....not my...strong suit, but it's an important part of the lesson, especially in Sumo or Unicorn fighting techniques.

He steps forward and reaches to engage the Kakita in a grapple.

Kenji attempted to get the upper hand in grapple, but was surprised at how strong the small imperial was. He was grabbed by Wyn and couldn't free himself from the grip. He tried, but every time he thought he could lever Wyn, he changed the grip and held him mercilessly.

"Good, and now that you have an opponent locked in your grip, you can either strike them, or toss them!"

He emphasizes the word toss gleefully

At the Hida's suggestion, Wyn attempts to throw the larger boy. Though his strength is a little less then ideal for that.

[Kakita Kenji]

Kenji fell to the ground, but picked himself up again. He pantled a little, his body was covered with sweat and dust in equal measure, but he wouldn't give up, not as long as the Sensei was watching.

He tried to grapple Wyn.

Although Wyn in most circumstances would be considered a very Dodgey sort, he steps into the grapple attempting to meet Kenji, after all this is training isn't it?

Trying to take control of said grapple Wyn puts all his small frame and strength into it, to no avail.
