"Myy paarennts knnow thaat ii waass a failure, theyy told mee all my liife i waaas aand they weere riight" he tried to hold in the tears, but judging from his breathing and the sudden shivers that were visible, he would begin crying soon.

It was weird how he could somehow relate. Even though his background was the exact opposite, didn't they suffer the same problem? Expectations to be over average they could even fulfill, but never meet? "You are not a failure because you failed some dumb competition to see who was the best student of the year. You just weren't the best student of the year."

[Kakita Kenji]

"Bbut ii faiiled throough evvery thhing, i losst myy suumai, ii wass sloower theen praaash, iii couuldn't riide a hoorse, i loost my skkirmish agaainst yootsuo, i coouldn't beaat saasaiko iinn Goo" he said sniffling.

"Andd theen i, annd then i,..." he began, but suddenly turned silent.

Aiichiro (and the kids) might see something disturbing happening now.
Kenji's limbs began to spasm around, a cry might be heard as all air from his lungs got pressed out of his chest when all the muscles in his body started to tense up and go wild in the area.

With all the bad things that happened today, he also had a seizure!

He knew what it was and how common it was on the Crane, but couldn't resist himself to poke Kenji with the tip of a finger of jade. It was at least a convenient place to seizure, on the ground, head over a cushion and all. Unsure of what to do, he unties his obi to give him more blood flow or something. He couldn't help but think that a condition like this on the Wall meant death.
He also turns his head aside. The chest not moving was worrying.

Kenji is slowly turning blue as his breathing is impaired his limbs still spasm around,....

No time to call the shugenja. Time to do the chest compression thing. He jumps over Kenji on his knees to try to save his life.

After three agonizingly slow minutes, Kenji's seizure stopped. He breathed and coughed, and his body began to get back to a more healthy color. Confused he looked at Aiichiro and his open Obi. "Why are you on top of me?" he said, less stammering, but very exhausted.

He just got out of Kenji, his haori still on his hands. No point explaining things to a drunk person on his experience. "Go fetch me a cup and a bucket of good water." He ordered to the watching heimin.

Utterly confused to what's happening, Kenji just lays back, closing his eyes.

He knew that sometimes, in severe blood loss, they wouldn't let soldiers sleep so they could track if they ever passed out.
Aiichiro poked his face with a fan on the same intention.

"Uhhh, what is it?" Kenji asked, eyes closed.

"I can't let you sleep. I need to know if you will be well."

"Whaat even happend?, where am i? Last thing i rememmber waas getting Saake, because,......" he stopped mid sentence

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He looked to the bottle far in the corner.
"You drank too much and I brought you there. Then you almost died but I saved you."

[Kakita Kenji]

"..." Kenji looked pale. "How, did i almost die?" he asked cautiosly.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"You had a seizure and lost your breath."

[Kakita Kenji]

"..." more silence.
"So,... you know now" Kenji replied, staring at the ceiling of the peasent home.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"That was a tough thing for your parents to tell you, sure."

[Kakita Kenji]

"I'm gllad that youu didn't beat mee with a cluub or somethingg" he still continued to stare to the ceiling. "Ii beeg for your forgiveeness, for beeing suuch a nuisance".

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"I wouldn't. I have no authority over you." He replies. "That's okay." His voice didn't hide that it was not okay. "We are still on time for the ceremony."
