(Day 6, LE) Celebration Feast (Roleplay Thread)

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"What do you make Kitsuki san?" Kaidan wondered since he had mentioned the forge a couple of times.

[Kitsuki Asahi]

"Many things, but my skills are primarily devoted to bladecraft." he explained. "The clan doesn't need another swordsmith, but it was my father's art."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

He smiled. "I make origami. I also practice other arts." He nodded.

[Kitsuki Asahi]

"I've dabbled in others, mostly metalwork." he smiled. "Whether I serve in the courts or as a magistrate, I'm not likely to have much more time in the forge, though."

[Vutall]

"Well, I think I do too." he said, not matching her tone exactly, but not being flippant about it. "About you, not about me." He finished, speaking below the dull roar of the room.

"Good. So what do we do about that?"

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"Good. So what do we do about that?"

"Well, first we fulfil our duties here, and then go some-place else, separately, for appearances sake." Eichiro shrugs, "Then, we figure out the rest."

That was his best idea for now. What the 'rest' was would be something they both would agree on.

[Vutall]

She nods, but looks questioning at the table.

"We have sake here, Ikoma-san"

She raises the cup in an offer to him.

[Ikoma Eichiro]

He accepts the cup, "We do, and I also have half that bottle left back in my room somewhere. I am sure the river kami would not begrudge sharing."

"But if decisions are made, I would prefer that we made them deliberately." He grins before taking a sip, "I would not want this last night before we become samurai to be something that either of us regrets."

"Not that I think such a thing could happen of course."

[Vutall]

Hinata blinks.

"I see."

Is all she says

((What Eichiro is trying to get at, is that if she wants to stay here and talk and drink and whatever else, he's down with that. He just wants to have fun with her and spend time with her because they have about a day or so before Duty will likely split them apart. His player however is terrible at getting that across. What Eichiro doesn't want is for things to get out of hand, especially while one or both of them is drunk. There has already been a couple scandals tonight, no need to add to it.))

[Ikoma Nijiro]

Finally, after watching his brother choke on the landing, he gets up and walks over.

"Hey, Ikoma san, bad news, just heard I have to do some patrol tonight into the early hours. " He shrugs "Probably needing me to prepare to be in one of the legions, who knows. "

He waits for a minute and then explains "So, sadly, I cant play you in go tonight, looks like you will need to find a new partner tonight if you want to get that experience..."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

Eichiro doesn't even play go. What was Nijiro getting at here? That was- Oh. That.

They had been reading culture studies about winter courts, when they had come across an euphemism at one particular court in Toshi Ranbo about 'Playing Go.' It was not something that 12 year olds should have read about, to say the least.

That was NOT helping, Nijiro. "Fine, fine, enjoy your patrol, little brother." Eichiro took a long drink from the cup to hide his embarassment.

[Ikoma Nijiro]

A small grin is on Nijiro's face "Thanks, brother." He turns to the Dragon "My apologies for interrupting, sama." He then turns and leaves, knowing it will be cold this night, but at least his little bro will be able to stay warm.......

[Kitsuki Asahi]

"I see... that is why I took origami." He nodded. "Brings me peace of mind. I can make it while in the courts."

"I suppose folding paper could be a substitute for folding steel." he shrugged. "It'd be better than pointless debates."

[Vutall]

"I like Go."

Hinata says with a smile

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan shrugged. "Probably, debates could start wars or end them... But i am no courtier... well I used to play one in Hirosaka... fun times."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

Eichiro nearly chokes on the sake, but manages to at least keep it in the cup. At least he could blame his red face on the sake as well as his coughing.

It takes a few moments to clear out the sake from his throat; during which he tries his best to switch his mindset off of the inside joke. It works, mostly. "Whew, maybe I shouldn't drink it so fast."

"You inhale the drink that way and could drown. It is not the best plan, no."
