Oichi, once she comes to her senses, has a massive blush on her face and covers it with a hand, saying something in Dao's ear

Nobuko's conversation with Wyn - and any worries she had about people overhearing - were erased by the sudden and very dishonorable action of Dao. Her fan snapped open and went up to cover the fact that her jaw needed to drop as she stared in horror.

With fan still out, he turns to Kenji-San. "I thought he was a monk, don't they take vows against such things?"

Kokyou approves, disapproving.

Embarrassed beyond the speaking of it, it's all Dao can do to gently return Oichi to the ground as all eyes fall upon him. Time seems to freeze and the scrutiny feels like hours before he manages to disentangle himself from the woman and stagger back in shame.

Not so much for himself, but for the shame he might have brought to her. Stumbling as he goes, Dao heads out of the Estate by the nearest doorway...

"And thats when-" Eichiro is interrupted in whatever story he was telling to Mirumoto Hinata. Out comes the fan, "That's not a Togashi monk thing, is it? I don't think it would be..." He asks her, incredulous.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Coughing, Ginkarasu finds his seat again.

Nijiro perks up at this, and shouts “No, No, Togashi sama, first you have to go to her Kyuden and demand her, THEN you throw her over your shoulder!!”

He shakes his head “If you going to tell the story of Hida’s wife, even with visuals, tell it right!!!”

Seeing the monk leave he sighs, and returns to drinking.

Jiro sighed heavily, soul torn between disapproval and jealousy.

Nesrin's been doing her best to ignore talk that's gotten rather blatant for a formal dinner. It's her elder sister, after all. But this is far too much, and she's on her feet in a moment. Not that she thinks Oichi needs it, but there's nothing wrong with a reminder that Battle Maidens have backup.

And then the Lion mews encouragement. "Of all the nights not to know your limits and set the drinks down," she mutters, glancing around to see if there's any more shameful displays getting ready to happen.

"It's too hot in this room clearly, perhaps it would be best if I assisted the servers and bring more water from the well? Toshimoko-sama, I would like to request your permission to follow the wise teachings of Ebisu-okami and do some honest work."

Toshimoko nods at Haruki.

"Please, Isawa-san"

Utaku Oichi looks stunned at the room for a moment and then bows, her cheeks bright red.

"Excuse me, please"

And with that, she takes off after Dao.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"What the hell this dog thinks he is doing? It would do him good to be tied and striked thirty times on his back whilst hanging by his shoulder." He hisses at a low tone high enough for only those directly at his side to hear.
He did not know anything about their history together.
He did still think he was some sort of company maid instead of a samurai.

(Where are the buckets? Any chance I could sneak a chance to view the kitchens and get a sense of who was the klutz who ended up spoiling the fish eggs?)

Haruki goes to look for buckets once he is out of the ceremony chambers, using this time to look around and get a feel for the atmosphere of the support staff.

The staff is quite busy. No one seems to be clumsy, all experts at their job. However the eggs spoiled, it certainly didn't seem like it was from a mistake someone made.

[Kaito Haruki]

(Would there be evidence of the eggs in the trash at least? Trying to confirm if the eggs were thrown away or stolen for the ink destroying properties)

Haruki enters the kitchen and grabs some buckets and yolks to carry as many buckets of water at one time that he feels comfortable with.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He opens first the fan, turning back to his gift. It was not exquisitely done but was of pretty acceptable quality. Of course, his knowledge was limited when it touched art, so it seemed like the coolest thing ever.
"Oh, someone gave me a fan. It has a bird and a crab on it. Maybe it was made to match my mon?" He asked. "Or maybe..." He sighed. "It's only a wedding gift."
He handed it over for the eager Yasuki to see with his hands whilst in progression smelling the letter — maybe it was an uncouth act, but it did have perfume over it. Then Aiichirō unfolded it and read.
When he finished reading, instead of handing it too to Ginkarasu, he just blushed and guarded it over the pocket of his kimono. He looked around, took a sip of sake from the wrong cup, and opened it again under the table.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu looks over the fan, curious about it. "Wonder why they wanted everyone to see you get this." he states. It looks pretty much like a fan.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Uhm... Ah... Do you think I'm attractive and nice enough that it is a genuine gift thing and not someone playing a prank on a crab? Is this the thing you pass over in courts for others to see?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He shakes his head, "Don't think it's a Game of Letters thing, it has a gift with it. Could be someone trying to get someone in trouble? Could be you've a secret admirer. Not sure. Sorry, I'm not good with these kinds of puzzles."
