The ronin sits up a little and nods to the three.

"No harm done. Now, what's this about a job?"

The Bayushi nodded. "First, I need to know a little bit about yourself." She took her fan out to fan herself. "What have you done as of late?"

"I don't have time to tell my life story. Just tell me about the job or leave me in peace"

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"I don't need your life story... just what you did here in Tsuma?" She placed her fan under his chin. "How can I hire you if I don't know anything about you?" She winked.

"I take any odd job that people need doing so I can earn coin to eat. Pretty simple to understand."

[Bayushi Kaidan]

The Bayushi woman tilted her head. "Like burning a building? My job needs some subtlety It has to do with a merchant." He might want revenge on the frog merchant that let lose the evil creatures.

[Vutall]

"I had nothing to do with that, I told yall, it burned down from the kami."

The ronin downs his drink in one gulp and sets it down hard on the table.

"Ill say one last time. Tell me the job, or leave me to drink in peace"

"I told you it has to do with a merchant. I just need you to find him and well... teach him a lesson." She winked. She moved in to whisper in his ear. "I would be very grateful if you do this for me."

[Vutall]

“Fine by me. Who is it, and what’s the pay?”

[Bayushi Jiro]

"I think the situation is entirely too public for those details. You were wise not to answer our questions here and we would be very foolish not to follow your example. As you say, it is the samurai with experience that is deserving of respect. Why don't we repair to a private room here to finish this transaction?" He placed his coin purse on the table. "In any case, the money won't be a obstacle."

He points around to all the stalls

“However, I don’t see anywhere private here. Perhaps you have a room at the House of the Laughing Carp?”

"That would work," Jiro agreed easily enough. "Shall we?"

The ronin stands and motions with his hand for the three to lead the way.

A short walk later and they are within the Scorpion rooms at the Laughing Carp. Jiro motions for the others to pull up a mat and have a seat.

"The issue, ronin-san, is that the merchant in question, Kazu the grocer, is patronized by Doji Murashige, the sensei and judge. The amount of money he has been making for her is getting to be an issue. Fortunately, the recent spate of rumors has cause Murashige's star to set a bit, and no one will complain overly much if her financial holdings take a small hit."

"What I'd like to hear from you is what methods you feel comfortable using to drive some business away from Kazu. Obviously, compensation would be commensurate with the going rate, plus expenses."

"You're not concerned that there might be too much of that in the air already?" Jiro tilted his head in consideration. "I would defer to your expertise, but someone has already done such a good number on her..."

"That someone was me. Got hired by an anonymous letter and a fat stack of coins. I can certainly do it again"

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"I see... A letter... do you still have it?" The Bayushi woman wondered. "If so.. can we have it?"

"No I don't have it. That's a sure way to get disappeared. People like anonymity and the feeling that they won't be found out for their actions. Why'd ya think they hired me in the first place? Or why you want to hire me?"

[Bayushi Kaidan]

The female Bayushi fanned herself. "Would you recognize the person's writing if I show you a letter?" She looked at Jiro for approval.
