"Some court position probably, something to give me seasoning my father says before I take on his role as a village governor." Eichiro doesn't seem that excited, "Maybe something in Unicorn lands as they are the clan that is nearest to the village, and with the peace treaty it'll be a safe posting."

[Vutall]

"I think it is likely I will be in their land as well. The Dragon and Unicorn have become close over Winter."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"Hopefully we'll have settled the issue that has been hanging over the village's heads. The Ide say they have some ancestral claim over the province, so we had those skirmishes in court and along the border for as long as I can remember." Eichiro sighs, "with the marriage between Shinjo-dono and Ikoma-sama sealing that treaty."

"It will be good to hopefully see a familiar face, aside from Nijiro." Eichiro's smile is genuine.

[Vutall]

"It would certainly be interesting to see you again. You seem pleasant."

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"I..."

'Pleasant?' That was not a word Eichiro had heard anyone use when describing him. Courageous, strong, those were words he had heard from adults but pleasant wasn't. Oh no, she was waiting for him to finish his thought.

He covered his slight embarrassment by clearing his throat. "I think I would too."

"Like to see you."

"Again."

"Yes."

He cleared his throat again and made a show of checking that the sake bottle was sealed. 'Nailed it.'

Hinata smiles and closes her eyes again, saying nothing more.
