(Day 4, LM) Mandatory Event: Weaponry

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He nods briefly, "Thank you."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Do you have a bow or a lance?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He shakes his head. "No. They figure my family can afford to get me a yumi, but that would mean we'd be taking funds allocated to helping the Wall. So, no yumi for me. And no horse, so not sure a lance would do any good."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"If you buy at Clear Water, the taxes are going to your lord. Isn't it the same thing?" He asks. "I can make spears for us both, but that would be expensive. Just wanted to go hunting."

(OOC: Lance and spear are the same word on my language, mixed things up)

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Maybe I could ask Hiruma-sensei? She'll probably have an idea of where to go hunting."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"With knives and war fans? Maybe we will get some fruits in the right area."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He shakes his head, "She might have an idea of something we could use?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Or where to get bows. Maybe she can get some of the Kakita academy for us. I was thinking in meeting with Asako-sensei later today. Maybe I can ask her instead?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

A brief nod, "If you've already got the meeting scheduled, sure!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Do you like... Oh, first, have you ever gone hunting?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He stops still for a second.

Puts away the knife.

Picks up the toy, pushes the button.

Then grins after the silence. "Hai. You could say that."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Wow, you need to be casual about that. I don't think Hiruma-shiryo would like a competitor to the title of Hunter of a Thousand Hares." He says in a jest.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Hunting teaches a lot about how to read the land. How to see where people or animals travel. Where predators lie in wait. Where water flows and doesn't." He nods. "I'm not saying I'm good. Just that it's been part of my extended lessons. Besides. I thought I was good at Kenjutsu, but I didn't hold a candle today to Utaku Himeko-sama."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Oh, that happens. You could always try the way of the tetsubo. We are Crabs for that." He replies. "It makes many years since the last time I hunted, although I don't remember hunting more than two times. It's not part of the Engineering school. My father just sometimes brought me to tag along when my mother asked him to do so."

[Iuchi Prashant]

Before and after his own match, the Iuchi once again stands watching and cheering - more silently this time - for the other Unicorn and his other friends. As on other days, he keeps his eyes open for any who might need healing, physical or magical.

[Kakita Kenji]

Kenji went up to his crab friends and bowed. "Greetings, how are you?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu bows back. "Kenji-sama! Happy to see you!"

[Kakita Kenji]

Ginkarasu bows back. "Kenji-sama! Happy to see you!"

"I'm glad to see you too" he said with a smile, but then looks a bit sad. "I was not quite fair to you after our horse race, I beg your forgiveness, the tournament got the better of me."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Oh, Kenji-kun, it's good to see you." He bows back. "I had little time to see you, that's true. How have your days been?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu nods. "Of course, forgiven. You've got more riding on this then me, I can understand frustration. Long as we treat it all as part of how we progress to being better, eh?"
