(Day 4, LM) Mandatory Event: Weaponry

[Kaito Haruki]

Once Haruki has been healed and finds out the next match is starting soon, he invites Kazuko-San to meditate with him. He uses this time to study the difference between their approaches to this portion of this test. She chose to use a different approach and that gave her a significant advantage in the competition, but during the iaijutsu portion there would be no special requests from sensei. So it should be much closer, right?

Kenji bowed deeply before the healer. "Thank you very much for your efforts, I will make an offering to the Water Kami in the next few days."

[Zashi]

"I think I know how the mouse feels when the cat is playing with it" Zashi shakes his head. "Sorry, I should not have been so rude, even to a friend"

[Kakita Kenji]

"I had a lot of time to think last night in the temple, instead of getting upset about all my failures I try to learn from them" he said and muffled his tone a bit, "even though it still hurts to have lost again"

[Bayushi Jiro]

Jiro returns to the sidelines, sporting an obvious limp where the Kitsu had given him a good bashing. [at +3 Tns]

He finds a place to watch the remaining bouts with a pronounced grimace.

[Vutall]

A different healer notices the limp and approaches Jiro, asking if they may be of assistnce. Once given permission, he feels much better as the water kami fill him.

[Ikoma Eichiro]

Eichiro is here of course, though cheering directly in this setting might not be appropriate. He pays special attention to the Lion bouts of course, but also seems quite interested in Mirumoto Hinata's match.

He gives Kitsu Tsubasa a slap on the back when he returns to the side of the mat, as congratulations.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu finds his place watching others, and does his best to study why some people lose versus others.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

Surprisingly, this time it was not hard to find Ginkarasu. Few people were allowed inside the dojo, it was open and plain, and people were not allowed out. Approaching the boy, he bowed shallowly and gave him the fixed toy.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu grinned his stupid grin, bowing back. "Thank you friend!" He holds up his knife. "Did you see? I made a tanto! It was a lot of work, but I managed!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He takes the knife into his hand and at first pretends to analyze it, then really analyzing it before he perceived. "Oh, congratulations. Few people finished weapons."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I saw how you managed to do the tessen so quick the other day, and I know it's not as complicated as a tessen, but I think if I get a whetstone it'll hold an edge!" He nods, nervous. "I never tried before today!"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

Ginkarasu spoke faster than normal... He was anxious on what his next comment would be, or was just excited? "Why did you choose a tanto over all other weapons?"

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Well, I guess it's the third blade? Katana, Wakizashi, Tanto?" He shifts a little. "What did you make?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"One, too. A pretty-looking kaiken. Thought it was what they were trying to avail, art and everything. Maybe I can give it to some courtier."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

A brief nod. "Or you'd have something you could throw?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"Well, it should still cut better than a war fan regardless."
He gives back his tanto.
"Good for someone who never met steel before."
