(Day 2, LE OPEN) Cramming Session, Day 2

[Akodo Kichiro]

"I might take you up on that Ikoma-san. I have rehearsed the proper scrolls and refined my kata but opportunity for true practice has been rare of late." Kichiro nods his head in a gesture of appreciation towards his cousin. His studies mostly consumed in the scholarly arts, Kichiro has never experienced true battle.

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"I too will need some practice, to at least be passable for the weapons demonstration." Eichiro continues.

"Very well, tomorrow maybe ((EE)) then for studies? I will speak to Hitoshi during the morning event."

[Ikoma Nijiro]

Nijiro nods but then, his face is stern “Very well but be forewarned, if I help you and you shame in the lesson, I have no problem giving you all the ‘Nojiro Stinker’” clearly meant to be comical, he looks to his brother to wince, being the one who single handedly made him create the maneuver...

[Vutall]

Tsubasa smiles at the jest, letting their On drop to show it. With friends, it wasn't necessary to be stoic after all.

[Matsu Qiang]

"I haven't seen much of this Hitoshi person so far," Qiang commented. "Have you gotten any kind of impression as to his character? Is he deserving of help?"

[Ikoma Eichiro]

"Deserving doesn't come into it, a promise to an honored ancestor is binding, is it not?" Eichiro tries to sip his tea, but it is empty. "Honesty demands we do what we said we would do."

[Matsu Qiang]

"Mmm, of course we must honor our ancestors," Qiang said carefully. "But the Crane lord was no ancestor of ours. If anything, he was responsible for sending some of our kin to Yomi. I do not think we owe him so great a debt."

[Vutall]

The Kitsu speaks up at this.

“Once someone has passed into the realm of honored ancestors, they should be though of as clan-less and instead beings who wish to see the mortal realm as a whole bettered and guided. “

[Ikoma Eichiro]

Eichiro considers this and then pulls out a fan to speak quietly behind to the table, "We gain three things if we succeed. An honored Shiryo's gratitude, a possible inroads into Crane/Mantis strife that our clan might be able to exploit in the future, and the gratitude of someone that has the eye of of a shiryo and may therefore have a great destiny ahead of him."
