[Mirai]

Where could a girl go that wasn't too upscale? There were likely parties in the Inn full of clan samurai spending their money freely. Temple's weren't upscale, but there were likely plenty of samurai there offering their prayers formally. The dojo would be no less formal, and the clan bushi could most certainly be overly curious.

Finally, Mirai decided to visit the local brewery. She could get a drink if she wanted to at the sake house, but the brewery would be less money, and less formal. She enjoyed just walking around and watching the heimin working, and relaxed in her own silence.

[Togashi Dao]

"It's abit amazing how they do it huh?" A voice spoke up from near Mirai.

"Turn so simple a food into so magnificent a drink."

[Mirai]

Mirai looked over, but it took her a moment to process. She'd never actually seen a Togashi before, but this was clearly one of them. With an automatic, practiced motion, she gave a bow before speaking. "Perhaps. I think the rice is quite magnificent inbits simplicity that it can be made into same though. A different way of looking at it."

[Miya Wyn]

A third child wanders up, he smiles in Dao's direction. "Togashi -sama good to see you" He looks up at the brewery "I have been very interested in how they make rice into sake, I was very happy to hear they were offering extra lessons on it here"

[Togashi Dao]

"Perspective is important." Dao agrees with the ronin. "Some things are seen differently by different people. It helps make us all unique."

"Like Miya-san." He offers the Imperial a bow of greeting. "He seeks to satisfy his curiosity, as do I, but in different ways it seems. Lessons versus samples." The Dragon adds with a smile.

[Miya Wyn]

"Samples? I mean a brewery doesn't offer samples does it?" He looks confused, "My parents and sensei haven't allowed me to try Sake yet"

[Mirai]

Imperial's were quite rare south of the mountains, especially in the villages Mirai frequented, but the Miya were the only ones that would go about anywhere. Still, this was the first she'd actually met, offering Wyn a deep bow. "An honor, Miya-sama. This one is known as Mirai."

That last she said to both, as she hadn't introduced herself yet to Dao.

[Togashi Dao]

"Samples? I mean a brewery doesn't offer samples does it?" He looks confused, "My parents and sensei haven't allowed me to try Sake yet"

"Samples, I'm reasonably sure they should. They might not be free though." He clarifies with a sad look.

"An honor, Miya-sama. This one is known as Mirai."

"I'm Dao, trained by the Togashi, and hoping to prove worthy of the family name at the Championship."

[Miya Wyn]

Miya returns Mirai's bow, "Greetings, are you one of the contestants? I thought I knew all the competitors coming from the clans."

[Mirai]

"Perhaps you do Miya-sama. I am a contestant, but I am not of the clans."

[Miya Wyn]

"I was not aware that there were Ronin involved in this competition. You must be quite skilled and promising to have qualified"

[Mirai]

She gave a slight nod. "I was given an invitation, so I must have some skill, hai. It is certainly an honor."

[Togashi Dao]

Dao looks Mirai up and down and smiles at the revelation of a new challenger.

"Then I look forward to seeing your skills Mirai-san, the Crane don't just invite anybody after all. But if you're not from a Clan, is it rude to ask where you are from? I mean, everyone comes from somewhere, right?

[Mirai]

She seemed to mull over the question for a moment before shaking her head. "I am from south of the Spine, but I have not really had a home."

[Togashi Dao]

"I understand." Dao replies sympathetically. "Until I found the High House, I never really had one either. I think home is different for each of us though. Just because you never had one, doesn't mean you never will."

[Mirai]

Mirai was silent a moment before just nodding, jaw tightening just a moment as she did so.

[Miya Wyn]

"south of the spine? Near Scorpion lands?"

[Mirai]

"From time to time, yes. As I said, I traveled much. If anywhere I could say I spent more time, it'd be in Asahina lands. Always plenty of work to do for them."

[Miya Wyn]

"Asahina hire a lot of Ronin? I never heard that. What would they need Ronin for?"

[Mirai]

"They can do a lot without, but they have great compassion. I've done guard and escort duty before for them."
