(D2, LE) Popup Event: One Tanuki, Two Tanuki, Three Tanuki..Floor

A strange sight at the Poisoned Water Sake House...A Tanuki...no, three Tanuki are sitting at a table enjoying cups of sake. They seem to be eyeing the patrons and waiting for someone.

This is a Limited Event, up to 5 players and Kaito Haruki may participate.

This is a non-combat event, but there will be a drinking competition, so mechanically rolls are expected.

Passing out from drinking will have consequences

Ichiro was still enjoying the celebrations when he blinked, rubbed his eyes, and blinked again.

No.. it did not seem to be the drink. He was seeing what he thought he was seeing.

"I guess after ghosts anything can happen..."

Haruki double checks to see if anyone else is looking before he takes the moment to greet the Tanuki as if this was normal for him (it kinda is with how often they visit him).

[Kitsuki Asahi]

Still exploring the town, Asahi stepped into the sake house. Seeing the unusual customers piqued his curiosity and he approached. Hopefully he wouldn't regret that idea.

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He enters the sake house with more interest to see how drinks here were different from those of his clan, or perhaps to find fellow Crab competitors. He didn't find any different Crabs, but he did find...
What?
He looked around, approaching Asahi and Haruki who were approaching the animals.
"I think it's better to call the owner of this place to deal with it."

What the samurai thought were tanuki at first just appear to be three men sitting around drinking. Once they approach the table, they all smile and lift a cup to the samurai.

"Come! Join us friends! Tonight we are celebrating with a drinking game! Do you think you can keep up with the famous Ozeki brothers?"

They all three slam back their drinks and pour another. You swear just for a moment you caught one of them looking like a tanuki again out of the corner of your eye, but anytime you focus on them, they look quite human.

"The game is simple! Drink until only one person is left standing! The winner takes the title of Sake Master, as well as some coin and one of the Ozeki brothers famed sake cups!"

The game is simple, keep track of how many drinks you take. once you reach your Stamina level in drinks, you begin to make Stamina checks, starting at TN20, and then each drink over your stamina level increases this check by 5.

((if your stamina is 4, once you are at 4 drinks, o a tn20 check. 5 drinks, tn 25. 6 drinks tn 30, etc))

Once you fail a number of checks equal to your stamina, you pass out! You MUST drink until you pass out and the player with the highest number of drinks will gain a special reward.

However, because you all will pass out, the Ozeki brothers will also play a trick on you...

Wyn comes in, having just come from the temple of Benton he smiles seeing Aiichiro and heads toward his table "Hey what's up Kaiu-san what are we doing?"

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

He looked at them. He looked away. At them. Away. This was happening way too much in the Crane lands, and all times but one it was friendly spirits. The evil tainted Zokujin were pretty obvious. And he would never admit, but he needed money. And no one would see ill a drunken crab if he failed anyway. Bad reputation is sometimes handy.
...So why not?
He looks to Wyn, getting up to bow. "Drinking! Do you want to join, Miya-sama?"

[Utaku Ichiro]

"Aye, the more the merrier!"

He was never one to pass down a challenge, be it mortal or otherwise - and he was still uncertain which it was with this lot.

"Aung myin par say!"

Despite his lithe form and the fact he had been drinking all evening Ichiro put in a solid effort. Though he felt the intoxication growing steadily he still managed to finish his eight cup before succumbing.

What little alcohol Asahi had sampled in the past had been plum wine. This was not the same experience. He managed a few cups without issue. Just when he thought he should stop, his head cleared and he felt confidant he could handle another. He was wrong.

The drinking rounds started, he tried to do his best impression. He saw (almost) everyone at the table passing out, but was almost doing so as well to properly proccess if he won or not.

"Oh Tea? That should be fun" He takes one of the drinks and smells it."I haven't had this kind before" He takes a sip.

Haruki knows this won't end well, but other people get hurt if he doesn't follow along with a tanuki's games. He still remembers when that load of lumber dropped like a rock down the valley; it took Haruki a week to get all of that material again.

One by one as the samurai to be pass out from the drink, the three men grin wider and wider. Each of the contestants sees quite clearly the men as tanuki once more before closing their eyes to sleep...
