Q and A: Vutall - Solo GM

Hi all! Please feel free to ask general questions about the game, any NPCs, and plots that have been wrapped up. I won't get into details about future story however, so I may choose to answer with a "Wait and see" type answer if the question borders that!
I'd also like to say THANK YOU to everyone for joining me these last 4 months (From Pregame in New Winds back in May till now!). It has been a lovely and delightful experience. A few hiccups, but overall I'm very pleased with this. I also am happy with how things turned out being a solo GM, it was tough, but rewarding.
I am disappointed about a few player drops and a couple disagreements that were had in Discord, but overall I think our community here is wonderful and great people to play with. I love you all and would happily game with you at my house (If you are ever in Albany, New York, hit me up! Cherry and I have a spare bedroom, and I'd love to do some light one shot roleplaying!)
Also, if you arn't part of our discord or Facebook group, please let me know so I can get you the links!

I'm sure to have other questions/comments: Are we waiting yet to see what difference it makes between choosing the "proper" ring and choosing a different ring for Topaz events?

Is there a separate New Winds FB group, or is it sharing the HT one set up ages ago? I almost think that one needs a new name, so many campaigns use it for announcements.
So I thought I saw a reaction from Toshimoko in a thread that indicated he figured out why Satsume's ghost was so hung up on Hitoshi. Did he? Will there be future anything springing from that realization?

I have a solution for the proper rings being chosen. a little bonus at the end not related to points.
There is not a separate group, just the Hollow Throne Super OOC I set up all those years ago. I could change the name if you think it's needed.
Toshimoko does now realize that Hitoshi is his son! It will be unclear what the ramifications are. Kind of undecided at this point.

Not really needed, and I kind of like how it sort of keeps track of that particular game lineage, as in the games that have spawned out of that community.

How did the different sensei view this Topaz Championship?
What is Toshimoko's viewpoint on this new generation of samurai? Did he have any viewpoints on the different clans change?

Add to that: What's his view on Kenji

The sensei were happy with it, up until the targeting against Hitoshi happened. Then it was kind of a mixed bag, with a lot of them wondering what was going on and finding it quite distasteful.
They were all very pleased with how their students from the Hirosaka dojo performed.
Toshimoko thinks this is an incredibly skilled generation. His viewpoints on most of the clans stayed the same, though he does have a bit better view on the Mantis now.
As far as Kenji goes, he's disappointed one of the Academy students fell so soon in the tournament, but also sees that as a good thing as it means that his students will have real challenges to overcome and grow from, thus increasing the strength of the Academy students in the long run.

I was prepared to call out Oichi about it, as the only sensei Dao really connected with...but then she scored him fairly from what I could see.
Utaku honour for the win!

Who was your favourite NPC?

That's tough. I've enjoyed all of them really, though a lot of them don't seem to get much screen time. I think the ones I'd like to play in my own game first would be Utaku Oichi, Akodo Eiko, or Doji Murashige.
