The group has been traveling for a few days now just outside the walls they are stopped by a Daidoji and a pair of magistrates. This Daidoji seemed familiar but one couldn't pinpoint why. The Bayushi sighed he should have expected this. The Daidoji spoke "Bayushi Gakihiro, I presume. Sadly, I cannot allow you to step further. Word has it that you have been working on Bayushi's Sungai case."

Gakihiro sighed. "He was a traitor to his clan and I am no traitor, Daidoji san. These two can give their testimony about the whole thing." He motioned at the two monks, Nijing and Jizame.

Nijing was pretty uncomfterable with "playing a role" as Gakihiro described it, but since there was no lie he bows down deep and states: "My name is Nijing, i can witness that Bayushi Gakihiro-sama has indeed not served or was an Accomplice to Bayushi Sugai, may his soul be judged by Emma-O"

It was sufficient testimony for the Daidoji. "Then let me invite you to have some tea." He smiled. "It is nice to see that you have acquired some friends." Gakihiro took out Ninya. "And a cat..."
