The New Winds

Saburo, having had a little time to try and relax, to rest and to let the wounds at least set, made his way to the room that Mai was staying at, gently rapping at her door. "It is Asako Saburo, Mai," he said outside. "I wanted to see you off before you departed. I will be remaining in town for a time." There were treatments to handle even if the wounds were healed. Tey didn't want him leaving Tsuma just yet and word had been sent home both of his being graduated successfully and Tanshiin's actions.

Aiko came out of Yotsou's room and approached the Phoenix. "Asako-san." Her eyes widen a bit, but she covered with a bow. "It is good to see you." Was that the right thing to say? Best to just act normally. "My room had issues, so they moved me."

"It is good to be seen by you," he said, bowing right back. "Issues, you say? I'm almost afraid to ask. I wanted to thank you for your thoughts yesterday. I wish that they had not proven quite so ... pertinent as they did, but such is the way of things. Are you well?" He had not bothered to select a new name. That little tidbit of the gempukku had been put aside because of yesterday's issues, and he'd get to it tomorrow.

Honestly, he was starting to think maybe Saburo wasn't even a bad name to stick with.

"I am well. I am Aiko now. Why don't we go to Kuni-san's room? We talk there. He already left, and I was about to make some tea."
