Another day another crab contestant. Kichiro just couldn't chase these clansman off it seems! At least this one is half-crane... In a sense... Better for motivation.

"An honor to face you Yasuki-san. Fortunes guide your path." Kichiro respectfully bows before the beginning of their match. Their start is signaled and the young lion bursts into a full sprint. Full attention focused on himself and his drive to complete this course masterfully.

The Yasuki bows to the lion.

"Let's do our best, no?"

He keeps a steady pace to his run clearing both of the mud pit obstacles without any trouble, though on the climbing wall he fails to overcome it.

The two take off in a burst of speed racing towards the first bridge. Kichiro slowly inches past his opponent and takes the lead! A little time to signal the v for victory towards those Lion in attendance while he's at it.

The two strike down onto the narrow bridge racing side by side. One small slip of Kichiro's foot over the edge reveals how slippy the platform is. He turns to his opponent readying to brace for the worst but it doesn't come. His opponent does not attempt sabotage him.

At the last leg of the race Kichiro begins to lose steam. He's first up against the wall and only makes it half way before falling back down to the earth. As he recovers the Yasuki races up the wall themselves only to meet the same fate. The two race back towards the final stretch of the race with the finish line in sight. Having the lead Kichiro's fatigue catching up to him and his paces slows. A brief look over his shoulder shows the Yasuki quickly catching up at alarming speed. His previous lead giving him the advantage but losing those advances fast! In a panic Kichiro kicks off the ground as hard as he could and the two fiercely run neck to neck to the last stretch.

And the winner is?....

Kichiro's total score before ring revea and winner declared: 17
