Ichiro arrived after a good showing at the athletics event win or lose he knows he competed well. He say Prashant opposite him in this event and smiled
"Prashant-san! if you lose to anyone in this tournament be proud it is one of the clan of wind and a son of the Ujik born on the back of a horse!" he bellowed out in Ujik followed by a good natured laugh and smiled to his friend.
And he took off through the course he had little trouble mounting and calming the animal before taking off through the course looking every inch as if he were indeed born in the saddle. He rounded the flag and to astonished shouts from the crowd hopped out of his saddle leaving one hand on the pommel his other snatched the flag and his feet just barely touching the ground before he sprang back up swinging his legs onto the horse again.
he snatched the lance as he rode by navigating the course and lanced it expertly before deftly guiding his horse back to the starting line grinning wide as he ended his run to cheers from the crowd.
Prash was also coming from a good run and a win at the Obstacle course, although he looked a bit concerned. He cheers up seeing his old friend, though.
"
Washamo Moto! It will be an honour and a pleasure to ride alongside you here! May we both honour our clan and our lineages - and have fun while doing it too!"
The Iuchi's expression as he approached his horse was one of slight nostalgia - he wished he could have his family's Yentekolyi here to ride atop her. But he quickly bonded with the horse delivered to him, which he took to naming 'Nemcekolyi', or 'Sure-foot'.
After caring the horse's mane for a moment, he mounted Sure-foot without a blink, and took of the course as ably as the Moto - but a slight bit less fast than he did. He wasn't as flashy as Ichiro getting the flag, choosing to lean down as he held his grip tight to the pommel on "Nemcekolyi"'s saddle. That worked perfectly and he had the flag in no time - but certainly hadn't impressed Utaku-sensei and the crowd as much as his friend had.
His ride back to the start was quick and certain as he spurred the pony on to go faster towards the lance, and his lancing was precise - even if once again not as much as the Moto's.
He rode Sure-footed back to the start without a problem, but the horse showed some slight signs that it was getting tired, and a grinning, laughing Prash looked as the Moto darted ahead of him atop his horse.
Had Prash been competing with any but an Unicorn, he would have a very good chance at winning. But it was a Moto he was competing with, so it was clearly not enough!
"So much for competing with an Ujik-born, eh, Moto-san?" he said to his friend laughing as he crossed the line.
"And the winner of the Naadam at that! That was a brilliant run, congrats!!", he says, then nods to the Utaku sensei, still smiling, and goes to dismount and care for his horse a bit more before moving out of the course.
As he does, he takes some time to sit down and focus, which he does easily despite the noise and excitement going on around him.
He then moves back to where the others are watching to watch the remaining competitors.
