Kokyou lands after his missed flying kick, and little did the gaki know, this was just a feint move –– in Kokyou's mind, since there's no failure in the way of the samurai. He jumps up, throwing a mighty uppercut.

The Mantis shouts a fierce "SHORYUKEN" kiai.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

Kaidan shivers. "Ninya Chan?" He wondered where was his cat. He forgotten about the people in the room. They have slain what looked like a cat but it was not his beloved kitten. He sighed relieved that it wasn't Ninya who they had slain. "Thank the fortunes."

[Togashi Dao]

"Ummm. So...is this like a weird dream or something?" He asks out loud, questioning what just happened.

[Bayushi Kaidan]

"I forgot to ask obahan for spirit wards." He said to Dao. "It happens from time to time when I am around."

[Kaiu Aiichiro]

"So you are the reason behind all things weird that have been happening?" He frowns.

[Togashi Dao]

"I'm sure Bayushi-san doesn't mean for these sort of things to happen." Dao answers back, taking a protective step towards Kaidan, in case things might escalate.

[Kokyou]

"Enough nonsense, now! We needs t' find ye 'n Sasaiko-chan some healin'. Where be Mai-chan?" Kokyou waves dismissively to the argument about the cat and focus on what's important.

Kaidan glared at the Kaiu. "Yes Kaiu san... This is my fault. Everything is my fault." He looked at Kichiro, Kokyou, and Dao. "I do good deeds and this is how the world repays me. But sure it easy to point fingers... It is difficult to accept the reality." He continued looking around. "That is why I should just be alone... if I care for people this happens."

[Togashi Dao]

Dao shrugs and stays close to Kaidan.

"Way I see it Bayushi-san, if the evil things of the world are trying to off you, then that must just mean you're a true force of good. That makes you alright in my book. I'd call you a friend and stand with you any day." He replies with a guileless grin.

[Kokyou]

"Ye're me Bucko. O' course th' evil doers o' this land will try t' scuttle ye. Ye're too much o' a threat t' them bein' so close t' me. Now, let's drop th' drama. We won th' day 'n thar's needs fer some healin' 'n sleepin'." He mentions, truly believing it is his fault, instead, being the heroic centre of Rokugan himself.

Kichiro takes a moment to gaze into the crystal blade. A more beautiful weapon he has never seen. A whisper spoken to the unawoken kami within. A thank you for their assistance. He resheathes the blade and returns to the group.

"In one way or another we are all haunted. Pray none of us stand alone when that dark comes to claim you." Kichiro turns and stares hard at Kaidan. "If you were alone these spirits would most certainly be your demise. Difficult to accept reality but these folk." Kichiro motions towards Kokyou and Tao. "These friends of yours are how the world repays you for your good deeds. Don't give up on them." Kichiro turns and bows deeply towards the wounded Aiichiro. Both arms extended offering back his crystal wakizashi. "Thank you for the assistance Kaiu-sama. If you would permit me I could dress those injuries until a proper healer can address your wounds."
