The radiant shine of amaterasu peaks up over the horizon as the first rays of light greet the day. In preparation for his planned lessons with Hitoshi, the young lion Kichiro would find a table and begin playing Go by himself in a harmonious fashion. A servant steps by resting a set of tea at Kichiro's side. He nods in thanks and continues on playing, sipping his tea, and enjoying the peaceful silence.

Kazuko enters the common area a whiles after dawn, looking for some tea to mentally prepare herself before today's events begin. She approaches Kichiro and bows, recognizing him as a fellow contestant and better yet, a Go player. It's saddening how many bushi don't know how much intricacy and strategy goes into the game.
"Have you had rice today, Akodo-san? Go is more fun with two, do you mind if I join you?"

"I have Kakita-san thank you for asking. Blessings of Inari have found you today as well?" With a warm expression to his On, Kichiro motions towards the available seat welcoming her to join.

"Indeed, I have found that I quite enjoy the food around town. There is an udon shop nearby that I am quite fond of. By the way, how long have you been playing Go?"
Kazuko takes the first move, confidence radiating from her as she tries to outsmart you.

"I'll be sure to give it a try. As a native to the academy here you must know all the local favorites." Kichiro beams sincerity even if his expression cold stone.

Kichiro presses a strong early game and begins constructing his web of territories. "Many years Kakita-san. Back at the Akodo War College they place great emphasis on it as a foundation of understanding battlefield control. The game an expression of Sun Tao's teachings, it has always been a pleasant distraction of mine." Kichiro expresses his enthusiasm of the game. Less about the strict discipline of these go lessons the better.
