The New Winds

Kenji was just getting ready for his morning training routine. He warmed up by doing different exercises like squats, push-ups and jumping jacks to get the blood in his veins flowing and his muscles warm and flexible.

Kaidan wanted to practice his iaido for the competition on the next day. He bowed to Kenji. "Good morning Kenji san."

He stopped in his jumping jacks and bowed "Ohayo, Kaidan-san. Here for your lesson, or do you want to practice the way of the blade?"

"I need to get the rust out of my system. I am here to practice the way of the sword. I was thinking on iai since tomorrow we will be doing Iaijutsu duels to determine the winner." He bowed and started his warm up with stretches.

"If you want, i could assist you in your training" Kenji offered.

He bowed. "That would be nice." He nodded. "Just don't be surprised by my stance." Kaidan nodded.

"I hope i won't" Kenji said with a smile. He got two bokken from a neabry rack and handed one to Kaidan, as soon as he was ready.

He took the bokken and bowed. He took his stance. It looked familiar, like a Kakita but not quite right.

Kenji looked at the Stance, something about it was,... odd. He got into stance also, a traditional Kakita Dueling Stance

He analyzed the Kakita. He looked for flaws on the stance. He wanted to find an opening where to strike.

Dressed in a light brown training gi, Kichiro enters the dojo and discovered the two samurai beginning to spar off. He takes a sit at the edge of the matted floor and observes curiously.

Kenji began assessing Kaidan.

Kenji nodded, too. "You've showed a strong stance, Kaidan-san" he then realized that they've got another visitor. He truened around to the Lion he met back then in the streets. "Greetings, Akodo-san, i hope the day greeted you warmly?"

"A truly beautiful day. Perfect to today's events." Kichiro bows from his seated position to the both of them. "Best remain indoors for training today less heaven's radiance leave its mark." Chances of sunburn during today's archery and hunting events must be minimized if your gonna look good for graduation. "I see you two are keeping your skills sharp for our final event?"

"After seeing the Isle of Spice and Silk, the Sun here in Tsuma is just a gentle touch on the skin" he ais with a smile
"Not only today, each day is a chance to sharpen ones skill, the way of the draw takes a long time to perfection" He gestures toward the weapon rack. "Care to join in?"

"Gladly." Kichiro rises and equips himself with a training weapon. He steps up to now form a triangle with the other two samurai on the dojo floor. "So stands the heart of the empire." With an upside down palm Kichiro counts a finger towards the two then finally back to himself as number three. "Each of us the best of our class. Pray that we each receive a worthy station after graduation?" Kichiro asks with a hint of concern to his voice. Wondering if any one of them would be stationed on a border between their domains where border skirmishes are a commonality.

"Don't the Lion have a saying... when you sleep the enemy trains? or something like that." He shrugged motioning the Akodo to take center stage. He took a seat.
