After bows had been handed out, but before either herself or Hitoshi were called up, Nobuko approached the Mantis and bowed to him, "Hitoshi-san, how are you today?"

"Nervous, if I am honest Otomo-sama. This is likely my last chance to pass after my poor performance yesterday"

"Your performance nearly regained all the points you lost," she said, smiling brightly. "I am sure you will do well today."

Nobuko paused, then held her yumi out to him, "And to be sure you do, please, trade bows with me. For... good luck!"

She wasn't about to accuse anyone of tampering, but just in case someone had before they were passed out...

He look oddly for a moment at Nobuko, but he nods his head and swaps bows with her, his already strung and readied.

Hers was as well.

She took it and held it close, then bowed her head, "Thank you, HItoshi-san, for wishing me luck as well."

"I have no doubt you will do well. You have proven yourself more than capable throughout this competition."

"Ah, thank you. I have surprised myself at nearly every turn," she demurred. "But you have proven yourself above and beyond our Sensei's expectations. I have no doubt you will also continue to do the same."

After all, even with all the forces working against him, it had taken Akodo Eiko docking him 40 points to get him below 75 and a day later Hitoshi was only 4 points away from being back at 75.

ichiro felt happy with his performance at archery and came to the stands to watch the other compete.

Kenji came back from the shooting range to meditate a bit.
He was interested in Nobuko and Hitoshi, because they exchanged bows.

Kenji waved back and went to Hitoshi.

Dao is not far away, unstringing his bow after his own performance, still in an almost trance like state, oblivious to the scrutiny he was under.

Wyn smiles and waits a couple moments to see if clarity comes back to Dao's eyes before softly speaking "Togashi-san"

Zashi rolls his shoulders and sighs, heading back over to the spectators.

It's like a repeat of Hirosaka. I start off hot, but am fading back. At least I have a final chance before the tournament tomorrow, and I am quite sure that I passed.

"Hai Togashi-san, I am very much looking forward to it, stayed up late last night prepping my gift for Kakita-domo"

"My gift doesn't need that level of preparation, it's pretty simple. I hope he still likes it." He leans in to nervously whisper the next few words.

"More than that, I hope I don't embarrass my Clan with my presentation."

"I am sure you will do fine" He smiles, "I made you something as well"
