Nobuko had spent a lot of time the last several days re-evaluating her choice of gifts to the governor. After the events the day before, she felt like the origami piece she'd originally been intending to give wasn't good enough. Both because of how Toshimoko reacted in the weapons event - whatever was going on with Hitoshi, he was not behind it - and because of her performance in the artistry event. She didn't do badly, but she was rather torn about it.

For the gift at the celebration feast, as important as it was, she needed it to be memorable.

It would be helpful if she could find any records of what his favorite song was, but in lieu of that, she needed one that was just complex enough to be an accomplishment to play even with a decent amount of practice. One she could borrow the sheet music on for several hours over the next couple of days to get just right.

After that... it would be a matter of practice.
