Preparations

Rather clearing his mind before raking today, he switched it up. He wanted to be as prepared as he could be for the upcoming lesson. So he completed his chores and then went to find his center. This upcoming lesson was of particular interest to him and he wanted to be as prepared as he could be. The ability to focus his mind would be vital to his duties in the future. In his thoughts on clearing his mind he found clarity and felt fully prepared for the lesson to come.

Wyn has also found a nice quite place, not far from the Kuni where he continues to attempt to practice for meditation, I mean to actively concentrate on meditation, I mean to try his best to not think about anything but then thinks about not thinking about stuff which seems counter productive.

Wyn sighs, shaking his head as he can't seem to get the groove, he instead turns to the Kuni nearby, after some time, waiting till he is done with his own meditation, before asking, "Would you like some tea?"

He nods to the Miya. "I wouldn't say no to that. The next lesson will probably be quite long, so eliminating things like thirst would probably help to maintain focus."

Wyn nods and begins working his way through the motions of the Tea Ceremony for the Kuni, but he seems still unable to find centering. His hand shakes and there is a little too much noise as he puts the cup on the saucer. The tea tastes fine, but it definitely does not have the reverence the ceremony is supposed to.
He shakes his head, "I am sorry Kuni-san I...seem to be unable to focus today, this does not bode well for our classes this afternoon does it?"

Sasaiko appears, almost as if summoned by the tea.
She bows. "I apologize if I am intruding."

He hadn't been expecting a tea ceremony in the first place, he had mostly been interested in the offered tea itself. "Well, the actual training itself will provide more guidance than normal. I wouldn't discount the sensei's ability to guide us in a study on meditation."
He looks to the Toritaka and nods in recognition. He didn't have any problems sharing tea with her, but it was the Miya's tea so he wasn't going to offer something that wasn't his to offer.

Wyn smiles, "Falcon-san, welcome, please join us, though I am afraid I have not done well with the tea, you are welcome to have some"

She nods, returns the smile, and sits to tea.
Drinking it, she finds it pleasant enough, but she recognizes the accoutrements.
"Ah, was Miya-sama practicing the ceremony?" she asks. "It is something I have been working on in my time here."

"I had a bit of an epiphany during the Archery training, and I have been spending the last few hours since trying to recapture it in preparation for the training this afternoon, but the more I chase it, the more elusive it is"

Sasaiko nods.
"I well understand that. But perhaps I can help us recapture it. May I?"
She gestures to the tea set.

"I've found my center and am prepared for the upcoming lesson, so do not let me burden the ceremony. I am content to enjoy the tea," the Kuni says with a smile. "I will simply observe. It's an interesting ceremony."

Taking it as permission, Sasaiko moves through the steps of the ceremony, pouring for two at the Kuni's words.
It seems to work (Tea Ceremony 18, both Sasaiko and Wyn regain a Void Point).
"I hope this helps," she says to Wyn as she offers the cup.

Wyn takes the cup, inhaling the smell of the tea and savoring. "Yes, thank you, you are much better at this then me, Toritaka-san"

"Practice only, and some guidance from Doji-sensei. I am sure you will exceed me soon enough."

"Perhaps I'll take it up in the future. It seems to be just as much a social practice as it is a meditative one."

"Hai, my Sensei told me it was very important to practice Tea Ceremony to give us an option to interact socially in more intimate situations without the need for words, which is important sometimes. "

Sasaiko nods.
"It is helpful, indeed, and for many things.
"But things go well for you, then?"

"The archery went well for me. And I'm looking forward to the meditation lesson," he says before looking to the Miya.

"Over all my time at the Dojo has been very enlightening so far, today I am just very stressed this type of thing was not covered by my sensei heavily"
