Finding the Center

Haruki did pretty well today, the whole week so far in fact, but it doesn't feel complete yet. There's still a gap between his position and second place, and the fight for third is going to be fierce. Sensei said it is best to meditate when there is the greatest pressure, and that is what Haruki came to a secluded spot outside in the shade where he wouldn't disturb others. But man is it too hot today!

Too hot, indeed. Specially as a bare chested Mantis boy gets nearby with his upper kimono part hanging over his left shoulder.
"Wha' ye be doin?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Trying to connect to that which cannot be grasped, the air between the air, that which makes humans unique."

"Ye don't look like a shuggie." Kokyou mentions, "Wha' makes us unique be how we grasp fate by the helm 'n guide it toward glory, victory 'n prosperity... 'n honor."

"That guiding fate is using the thing I am trying to 'grab' with this training, it's the little boost that makes the difference between the victors and the losers, no?"

Kokyou grabs Haruki kimono's neck collar and shakes it, shouting to incentivize him, "YAAARR!!"

"I don't think I am ready to grasp fate like this yet. However, I can feel it is only a matter of time until I do. Do you feel like you're ready to do so yet?"

"I've been born ready, matey!" He snorts rather too proudly and takes his hands off Haruki's neck collar to put at his waist. "Ne'er sell yourself short. 'cause fate takes its toll."
