The New Winds

It was horrible, horrible weather out. Nobody would want to sneak out in this weather right?

Nobody would also want to be on guard in this weather...so Sakura collected her umbrella and wrapped up in an extra layer, before sneaking out and easily scaling the very wet wall.

Sakura is ready to offer a hand over to tug of Zashi, their attempts to sneak out together having formerly gone awry. Instead, Zashi taps on her shoulder from behind.

"Thanks for waiting for me"

Zashi is wearing a wig, looking thoroughly like a servant girl.

Sakura nearly jumped when someone tapped her on the shoulder, turning to look at the servant girl.

"Ano..." she looked worried, thinking she'd been caught, backing away slightly.

(Can't see through that disguise roll )

Zashi pulls off the wig, now safely through. "It's me Doji-san. But red hair is distinctive, and I don't want any stories getting back"

"Zashi-san!" Sakura gasped, covering her own mouth quickly and taking a moment before speaking.

"You're really good, I couldn't tell you were someone else. We're out now, where shall we go? Lots of places in the city."

"Hmmm...food is fun! Also, maybe gems?" Zashi reaches for Sakura's hand, giving it a squeeze

There was a slight blush at the handholding, but Sakura nodded. "hai, food. Ooh, gems? You think they have some?" her eyes lit up "I'll follow you Zashi-san! Let's go!"

[Headed to the Market]

Zashi breaks into a run with Sakura.

Not many have the same love of life.

The thought resonates as the lights of the market go brighter

With Zashi not being that much taller than her, she was able to keep up easily with him running. Although it was difficult to both keep her umbrella up and run without getting herself a little wet. As the lights of the market drew closer her eyes lit up.

"Wow...so pretty..."

There are a number of stalls, most of them open since they have a tented cover, but some closed due to the weather. While not as grand as a larger cities, the Hirosaka market has a number of things that one would wish to find.

"What do you want first Sakura-cha" Zashi extends the straw cloak to offer cover to both of them

In return Sakura moved closer to Zashi, her little blue umbrella able to cover most of both of them as well.

"There isn't as much open as I hoped. I guess the weather..." Sakura shook her head, shaking away the negativity (and some raindrops from her hair) "maybe they've got some gems? Or some sweets?"

"I think we have time for both. There's always time for sweet things." Zashi hip checks Sakura playfully. "I make time for you right?"

Zashi continues around looking for gem merchants

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there are any. Intuition would say that because of the proximity to Otosan Uchi, and being north of the city and not on a trade route, Hirosaka is overlooked by most expensive or exotic good merchants.

Sakura giggled. "You're always so nice to me, I feel spoilt, not that I mind at all. I like your company" there was a slight blush at the confession, and she took a chance to look around as they walked.

"I can't see any sweets..." she commented a little sadly.

The open market stalls are mostly textiles, clothing, and food. Finding sweet buns or mochi would be no trouble.

"I'm sorry, it looks like I steered you wrong on the direction on the gems." Zashi offers a contrite look. "But I'll count a night out with you a success. Ooh, sweet buns!" Zashi's tongue practically lolls at the fresh scent.

"It's ok I don't mi-ooh sweet buns" Sakura practically pulled Zashi in that direction, her eyes lit up "they smell so good too! I'm hungry now!"

As the two approach, a kindly older woman smiles at them.

"Ah, two love birds out for a snack? Come, come. Eat! Tea and buns, just three zeni!"

"Three? That must be some amazing tea and buns." Zashi does their best servant girl. Zashi slowly drops the first two copper coins, then the third, offering the man a wink.
