Blood and Sweat But Never Tears (open)

[Moto Ichiro]

Ichiro went to the dojo and began running through unarmed kata he had performed well during the training but he could still be better and he had to be the best in order to show up that Hida who sucker punched him yesterday. Before he left this training he was gonna toss that jerk.

He went through the motions again and again until he started to sweat and then until that sweat started to drip onto the mats but still he persisted.

[Bayushi Jiro]

There is a soft sound as the slender, pretty Bayushi boy slides a bokken from the rack, swishing it through the air to test its weight. He wears a slight frown.

[Moto Ichiro]

ichiro finished his latest round of kata and and turned to the new arrival, he was sweating and breathing a little hard but merely nodded in the scorpion boys direction before launching into his practice.

[Bayushi Jiro]

Jiro nodded back to the Moto and began to slowly move through the first kata of the Bayushi school. While right-handed with the brush, Jiro's favored the left hand with his sword. A guarded sweep, followed by a sudden lunge, low to the ground and aimed cruelly upward. This was repeated again and again, the boy's eyes focused on the middle distance.

The Moto seemed more than happy to share the space in silence and focused determination. His own Kata shifted from one that required powerful arm strikes to one that involved much more agile movements. He snapped off two kicks, high and low, before a and spinning reverse hook kick all were crisp and clean and snappy as if the boy had done the movements a hundred times. He had.

[Bayushi Jiro]

The Scorpion lad continued his rather basic kata, really just a few things his brother had shown him back home. Unlikely to break through a trained bushi's guard, but effective enough if a court situation suddenly had to turn sour.
