"Foxes shouldn't ruin others fun!" she exclaims, letting out a hissing sound at him.

To the rest, she smiles as she reaches down and scratches Haruki behind the ear.

In Haruki's mind, he hears her say:

"I told you I would see you again!"

She speaks in a sing song voice

"These are indeed my cats! Of course, you can pet them. But wouldn't you rather feel what it's like to be a cat? To know the joys of pets and the sweet taste of milk?"

((Zanshi has 1 more question to ask the air spirit dancing around him))

[Zashi]

"Why would you think that I'm out here to ruin your fun?" Zashi asks, a little surprised at the hiss that comes in his direction, but wanting to convince this...cat spirit?

"To be... a Cat?" Kenji adopted a thinking pose. "It would definitely be an easier life. To lie in the sun and be fed and petted, but the Celestial Wheel chose us to be samurai, so I must follow my destiny." he said while lovingly petting one of the cats.

"I don't want to be a cat. Cats can't make weapons" Sakura frowned "or play with pretty jewels. Also how could anyone be a cat, we're people."

"Is your destiny entwined with that of the architects of the homes my people use?"

[Kakita Kenji]

"That's a nice name, one of our Kohai is called that too, may I pet him?" Kenji asked sincerely

[Zashi]

Zashi gives the Kakita a side-eye. "One of your kohei has that name?"

Turning to the "girl", Zashi offers a smile. "No thanks for the offer. I'm a fox" Zashi points to the Clan mon showing the vulpine figure. "We're fun."

The girl frowns.

"You are all no fun. Fine, only Haruki will be a kitty then. The rest of you...."

She points at Sakura.

"Crane"

Then Kenji

"Hmmm...Ape!"

And then Zanshi

"And you stay a Fox."

Then, the girl claps her hands and turns around three times, and says something unintelligible. A strange sensation of nausea, headaches, and body pains, followed by swirling colors and smells as the world around them disappears.

A few moments later, as the students come to their senses, they find themselves in a strange new world, a lush green forest. In front of them are the two cats and the saucer of milk, the little girl no where to be found.

"Catch me, Catch me, then you get your bodies back!"

"Honk? Honk honk! Hoooonk!" The elegant and clearly panicking Crane said. At least that's the outwardly sound. What she was really saying was more like "What? Get back here! Heeeeeelp!"

Confusd Kenji look at his hands "What in the holy outhouse of the emporer is giong on?!" he exclaimed panicing.
"Doji-San?, Zashi-SAn? Where are you?"
He looks araound, what does Kenji see?

[Zashi]

"We were shape changed." Zashi licks at his paws delicately. "She's a spirit of some kind, likely an animal one. She doesn't seem to mean any harm, but she is enjoying our discomfort."

He looks around at the others. "What? I live in Kitsune Mori, filled with legends of shapeshifter foxes that are supposed to have intermarried with the Kitsune clan. This kind of thing is not the strangest story I've heard." Zashi's tail lashes in amusement.

"But it seems we all have our normal minds,and she's given us new bodies to chase her. I suspect you'll be able to fly Sakura-chan."

[Doji Sakura]

There was a squark of surprise as the fox talked to her! She listened though, but looked confused. Well, as confused as a bird could.

"How?" she asked. Well, honked.

[Kaito Haruki]

"So all we need to do is catch her to get our bodies? Then that's what we'll have to do together. Now just to find her."

High above, in one of the trees, sits a cat with a face very similar to the girl at the dojo. Her yellow eyes watch the group like a hunter watches its prey.

[Zashi]

"I am likely fast in this body, but I am sure she knows about that. The Ape can move through the trees better than I, I suspect. Doji can fly though and surround her. Does anyone know tactics or shoji?"

[Doji Sakura]

The Crane shook her head. She had no idea.

"I'll be damned if I can't catch this cat," Kenji said

Kenji started to jump and tried to climb the tree
