(D3 EE) Good bye to Lady Sun

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He laughs. "How can it be bad timing to see Lady Sun go over the horizon?"

[Mirai]

Mirai shook her head. "I always find her departure a bit melancholy, but I meant in interrupting your thoughts."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He nods. "Apology accepted. They were mostly: That sure is pretty!"

[Mirai]

Mirai chuckled softly. "They say not to look directly at her you know, or it might be the last lovely sight you see."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He laughs. "True! Much better to see the rosy clouds."

[Mirai]

Mirai nodded, glancing. "Mmm... Perhaps I'm too cynical Yasuki-sama. When I look, it just appears to be another day done, and I start thinking about the next. I always saw it as if it were fire, burning away the last of the things that day had brought."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He looks up. "Yeah. I can see how that'd be thought. I kind of thought it to be a celebration of what had been done and a reminder that we'd see her again in the morning."

[Mirai]

That brought another slight smile. "Perhaps. I just like the mornings better. Always more peaceful and quiet in the mornings, and you know Lady Sun's going to stick around for quite a while after rising."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Hai. I guess big red skies like this in the morning means the weather is often bad later in the day." He tugs his hair a bit. "That and so many people get up early in Clear Water Village that it's noisy all the time."

[Mirai]

"I'm used to the contrast between the big and small cities. In bustling places like Clear Water, people almost always seem to be up, true, but in even larger like Ryoko Owari, those night crowds are usually drunk and rowdy. In smaller villages, people almost universally get up early, but it's a quiet, genial bustle." She paused, looking a touch sheepish. "Sumimasen. I feel like I ramble."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He shakes his head, "That's okay. I hope to be a traveler for my duties. Hearing what it's like...it helps, thank you."

[Mirai]

She kept that slightly sheepish smile. "If you say so Yasuki-sama, though I feel it is just a cynic's view. All the same, if my observances help at all, I will be grateful."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"How is it a cynic's view to enjoy the morning? That sounds like optimism to me. You've got the whole day in front of you and Lady Sun's promise to start it." He nods. "Yup. Closet optimist. Sorry, if you didn't know."

[Mirai]

"Well, I am me, so no matter what labels I have, that won't change." She smirked softly. "Still, good to know I'm not ALL bad."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"There is always that truth." He puts up a hand, as if framing the sunset. "We can see just part of the the sunset, and trust that it's beautiful."

He drops his hand, then shrugs. "Problem is people will see just part of our lives and think that's the whole."

[Mirai]

She shrugged a bit at that. "Have to care sometimes, true, but you learn to get a thick skin to people's opinions as a ronin. They can see and think whatever they want, as long as you live the life you wish."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He nods, quiet enough.

[Mirai]

Mirai was silent a long moment as well, watching Lady Sun set. Finally she spoke up quietly. "We'll have to speak once more after the tournament is over, perhaps at her rising. I should leave you to her last moments however Yasuki-sama."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"I'd like that." He answers, bowing.

A second passes.

"Oh! I mean, uhm. Both things!"

[Mirai]

She couldn't help giggling a bit at that, even if she remembered her sleeve. She gave one last bow and departed without another word.
