Dao seems...almost comfortable this second time. As if the stress and terror mingled together, forging his emotional weakness into a strength of focus.

[Togashi Dao]

Dao, however, did. He didn't feel at one woth the universe or anything cool like that, he just happened to be fast and coordinated enough to take advantage of his speed.

When it was over, he blinked. Scarcely believing what had happened, he wasn't sure if he'd just made a friend or an enemy for life.

[Toritaka Sasaiko]

Sasaiko nods at what she sees.

Impressive.

[Kakita Kenji]

The punch was not what hurt Kenji the most. It was his pride. He was beaten by someone who could hardly display the elegance of the Iai art for which he had trained for years. His ancestors would probably curse him right now. Beaten, by a dragon. History was repeating itself.

But Kenji had to save his face, there was no point in getting upset about it now. If this was one thing, it was a lesson in humility.

"That was a good blow, Togashi-san, you seem to have talent"

[Togashi Dao]

Dao bowed deeply. "Your words of encouragement inspired me Kakita-sama. The student owes his victory to his teacher. I am sure you have the makings of a great sensei."

[Kakita Kenji]

"Your words to the ears of the Kami. But I am far from being a sensei, let alone a master of the Iai. We are equal, Togashi-san, we are both still students of the art," Kenji said.

He bowed to Dao. "And it looks like I still have a lot to learn."

Remember Shinsei's teachings, Kenji: Only when you are in the grave will you have nothing more to learn, he thought.

[Kuni Yotsuo]

Yotsuo watched the match with interest, paying more attention to forms and skill than who was going to win. He was trying to learn rather than rank people by their capabilities. That's what this entire dojo experience was about after all.

[Togashi Dao]

"We all have a lot left to learn Kakita-sama." Dao replies waving his hand around the dojo. "We're still just kids after all, adulthood will call us when we are ready."

[Kakita Kenji]

"Those are wise words, Togashi-san," Kenji said and put his bokken in his obi. "That was good practice, we should do it again some other time."

[Toritaka Sasaiko]

Sasaiko nods.

It's a good idea, really.

[Togashi Dao]

"There's lots of new stuff I want to try here, but maybe we'll find time for another go around?" Dao replies non-committedly.

[Kakita Kenji]

"We will find time for another round," Kenji said, "probably tomorrow."
