Timezone differences may mean that you have to wait for a reply if you're in a vastly different time zone from the player you're interacting with, but the forum server time has no bearing on this. I do set it to come close to my actual time so I can judge how long an announcement has been up, or how long someone has been waiting on a reply post or message, etc.

The board gets to think I'm in central Asia or something. Which fits the character, I suppose.
