A Haunted Breakfast

[Mai]

Mai was touched. She honestly didn't expect Otoko to call her a friend in return. At least, not right away. "Thank you." For both the concern and the friendship. "I did make sure to go over the Scorpion area and the Minor Clan area well enough."

[Yogo Otoko]

"There is no cause to thank me... but you are welcome. I will try to look over all the screen's today, including double checking the ones you lot already looked at. As you can certainly attest, it is not an experience I would wish on anyone, friend or foe."

[Mai]

Mai nods. "I just remember intense pain and then waking up wet in the senseis quarters."

[Yogo Otoko]

"I am certain Asako-sensei already told you all that need be said about what the gaki did, and anything she did not tell you is not my place to say." Otoko frowned a bit. "...I am curious, however, why it was here in the first place. It is not as if every time there is a hole you will find a mokumokuren."

[Mai]

"You think it might not be a random occurrence?" It was Mai's turn to frown. She then took another bite of her breakfast. "Do you think it might have a target?"

[Yogo Otoko]

"No gaki works randomly. There has to be something that brought it here; a person, a rift, an event. I can't really say without knowing more." Otoko thoughtfully rubbed the edge of her tea cup.

[Mai]

"Have you me Kuni Yotsuo?"

[Yogo Otoko]

She looked thoughtful. "...I am poor with given names, but I have met a Kuni. I imagine he is the only one present."

[Mai]

"He is pretty knowledgeable about ghosts. So, is Isawa Kai. You may want to talk to them sometime. They may know stuff."

[Yogo Otoko]

Otoko gave a very faint smirk. "I imagine such conversations could have their own interests, but if either of us is in a position that they should talk to others about spirits, it is you Mai-san."

[Mai]

"Oh. Trust me. I have. I haven't shut up about it." Probably the most believable thing Mai has ever said. "I just figured all three of you seem pretty knowledgeable about ghosts. Figured you might have interesting conversations."

[Yogo Otoko]

Otoko shrugged. "As I said, I have already met Kuni-san. I do not believe I have met an Isawa however."
