[Asako Saburo]

Saburo stood in front of the Asako and took up his stance, placing his hands in front of him and crouching low, waiting for the other man to come. He wasn't built for this, but he did at least have training in the arts of hand to hand. It had been one of several skills he'd been trained in to try and help his body get past some of its deficiencies in his early teens.

As Kenji was about to toss the Yotsuo from the ring, the smaller boy hooked his foot in behind his opponent's leg. This stole the momentum away and left them struggling against each other once more.

ichiro arrived a little behind the others, apparently his display during the kata yesterday caught the attention of the large Hida. He bowed to the mountain of a man but then for now stood by and watched since the four present had already been paired.

Kenji almost tripped when the Kuni hooked a leg under him, he tried to keep balance and control, if he did it right now he could throw the Kuni...

As the Kakita tried to throw him the smaller boy slipped out of his grip and took his arm. He tried swinging him to cause him to go out of the ring, but there wasn't enough power behind it.

[Asako Sanzo]

Sanzo stood before his cousin and bowed. He assumes some sort of jiujitsu stance, imitating what he had seen from other practitioners of the art. He didn't really know what he was doing, but still did have some martial familiarity. He attempts to shove his cousin out of the ring!

Sanzo was definitely large enough to pose a problem, and Saburo didn't have any real weight behind his muscles. But where he lacked in physical prowess, his hands moved in the second grip to shift his weight. He understood pivots and stances, and as his legs spread just a fraction more and he brought real leverage to bear, the results were ... visible.

Kenji tried to mobilize all his strength to push Yotsuo out of the ring, the Kuni was a tough nut to crack, but Kenji would not give up.

[Kuni Yotsuo]

Similarly, Yotsuo was not ready to give up. He waited for the Crane to push him near the edge and then moved as quickly as he could to try and get behind him and force him out. Unfortunately, he ended up beside Kenji and just moved him sideways, both of them on the edge of the ring.

[Asako Sanzo]

Sanzo, being completely unused to this sort of fighting, had no idea how to react to the shift in grip. As a result, Saburo's maneuver is very effective, sending Sanzo flying out of the ring!

"Ha! Nice one, cuz."

[Kakita Kenji]

Kenji was absolutely determined to throw Yotsuo out of the ring now, the victory was close to grasp. "Only,... a ... small ... ... inch..." he pressed out.

[Asako Saburo]

He bowed to Sanzo exactly the way he had seen sumai do it in the past, reaching down with a stick to make sure the circle was solidly back in place. "My sensei was a fire priest with a gift for the earth. He felt my earth insufficient, so he had me take up stances every day. Practice the forms. I'm still not good at them, but they can help. If the others are still busy, again?" He knew, deep down in his mind, that any progress he had over others was the meager fact that he'd done this before. The Moto, clearly, had also done this before. He would bow to the big young man in a moment when they had a chance. Even a little bit of training was a major factor in this. It was why he wanted that little bit to be that much better before tomorrow.

"Repetition is the friend of growth."

[Kuni Yotsuo]

Yotsuo pushed back as much as he could, but the force from Kenji's latest push was too much. He lost his footing and rolled backwards onto the ground with a short grunt.

D2 Serpent, Round 5, Jiujutsu / Strength: 1d10 6

[Kakita Kenji]

Kenji was victorious, not glorious, but victorious. But he had to show respect to Yotsuo. Kenji bowed: "Good fight, Yotsuo-San"

[Kuni Yotsuo]

Finding his way back to his feet, he dusts himself off before returning the bow. "You as well Kenji-san."

The two Phoenix finished their match much quicker, so he watches the sensei and the Moto in their clinch.

[Asako Sanzo]

Sanzo stands and mirrors the bow. "An interesting method to nurture your earth. My own lessons were more focused on the blade, the brush, and centering myself; this whole jiujitsu thing is still a bit new to me. But indeed, repetition is an excellent teacher."

At that, Sanzo assumes a low jiujitsu stance. Or at least what he assumes to be one.

Ichiro smirked as he lowered into his stance and the big crab was upon him, he could tell the big man wasn't using all his strength which even the overconfident unicorn could recognize was a good thing.

Struggle as he might even the Hida's more relaxed grip was too much for the Unicorn boy. Though he was obviously strong for someone his age as he nearly did break the hold.
