Archery Practice

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

"Thank you! Did you want the bow back? I could probably get my own and some more arrows for everyone?"

"Hm... How about you take another shot so I can watch before I try again?"

Otoko held out a new atroiw to the Yasuki.

Saburo, apparently unaware that there was a possibility that the Mantis might be snubbing him, continued on with his practice as if there was nothing wrong with his life or worth comment. Not a single shot he'd fired deserved praise, after all. Why would he expect it. He was at least no longer snarling at the bow, though the boy was going to be sore tonight from this.

All as it should be.

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu took the arrow, and tried to mimic the Phoenix's form, as he seemed confident about what he was doing.

This time he manages to not flinch at all. And to shoot the arrow right into the central area, though certainly not the center.

The archery fields were crowded but Ichiro needed to practice. It was one of the skills he had neglected, his sensei said he lacked the grace for the art but one thing that motivated Ichiro more than his desire to win was his desire to prove people wrong when they told him he couldn't do something.

The Unicorn boy grabbed a practice bow and found his own target lining up and shooting with no real accuracy or skill but practicing all the same.

"Asako-san looks like he knows what he's doing, I tried to do the same." He smiles. "Maybe I should keep practicing this, could be good to know how to defend my charge from a distance if I can't get close."

He thought bout talking about raining fire down on enemies until they were burned to a crisp, but the words of his sensei came to mind. Such power was not to be wielded lightly, nor thrown about as a taunt. So he decided to withhold that. It would be needless to get into an argument over such things in any case. "We will have to settle for seeing your prowess upon horseback when the opportunity presents itself, though I have no doubt you will do your people credit."

[Yogo Otoko]

"...I never really learned how to ride my horse," Otoko murmured before looking to the Yasuki. "...You could always throw boulders at them...."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

He looks to the Yogo and thinks a moment. "Now that'd be a trick! I'd need to have the high ground for that though, and that's more like dropping I think."

[Mai]

Mai looks at the Asako's arrows and then the Crab's. Was he mocking the Phoenix? But the Phoenix didn't say anything, so she ignored it.

She did chuckle at Otoko's joke. "Well, you are a Crab. I suppose you'll be spending some time on a wall."

[Yasuki Ginkarasu]

Ginkarasu nods, but then shakes his head, "Alongside it more likely. Most people in my school escort our merchants across the Empire, keeping them safe from bandits and bears. But there's a great big road that goes up and down the Wall, where a lot of the supplies get moved. I might be put there; you never know when you're needed there."

Ichiro paused his shooting and looked to the tall Yogo thinking for a moment. "Well...if they have horses here we can use....I could...teach you." He said before going back to his archery training perhaps a little more quickly than seemed normal.

"It is the Ruby Champion. I am hoping to be surprised. I have heard stories of your steeds. They do not have anything like that near the Pale Oak." And the Champion had incredible resources, so who could say? And, failing that? Bah, maybe he'd just have to find this Canbalook place.
