No specific substance, that's where Artisan: Meishodo comes in, as they learn what the kami react to best to "live" in it

Anyone can make the object, as it's just a normal mundane object until the Meishodo shugenja uses Artisan Meishodo on it to have the Kami enter it and become Meishodo.

Just to make sure then Vutall - could Prash use Artisan: Meishodo for the Artisan daily event (either using items he got or created himself beforehand using other skills, or using something provided by the sensei)?

No, they can't actually judge that skill, because it is an abstract thing. Artisan: Meishodo the skill is a vague representation of a ritual of sorts that binds the kami to whatever object. Maybe you bind the kami to a stone by carving in a symbol in it, or maybe you are just mystically preparing the object without physically changing it at all.

On the daily events, as written Bushi use physical traits from the ring they pick. Everyone else just uses ring roll? Or do they get to pick traits to use?

Shugenja uses ring, courtier uses mental, and arts is whatever your art usually uses (so you pick mental or physical)

On the Physical Wellness events, do you need to pass on all three raised rolls to gain the Strength bonus?

Yes, anything that is a reward from making a raise only happens if you then pass the roll with the new raised TN

For the courtier event, does explode twice mean only if one die rolls 10 two times or can 2 kept dice roll a 10 and still count?

Explode twice means either two dice explode, or one dice explodes into another explosion.

So it's not 2 dice explode on a single dice, but over the whole roll?

over the whole roll, if you have 2x explosions. either on a single dice, or on multiple.

I think the confusion is wording, on the dojo event:

If you have two or more explosions on a roll

On the daily event

If you have a dice explode twice

The second one reads like 'if you have a single dice explode twice' while the first refers to the whole roll

As a clarification, on the events are on days 2, 4, 6, and 8, they all have a Special reward, such as this:

Special: On the final iteration of this event, If you pass at all of your Court rolls in at least 3 of the 4 events, you gain the Touch of the Spirit Realms: Meido Advantage

In order to get tht special reward, you need to do that training all 4 times. doing it 3 times and then switching to something else for the fourth, you forfeit the ability to gain the Special reward.

I assume, but just to be certain, all three have to be within one training session not spread between Full Attack and Attack days, right? Also do Jiujutsu strikes count as a separate 'weapon'.

An opponent with wound penalties in full defense: Do they always get at least a +1 from their roll or can it be reduced to 0 (and I assume it can't be made a negative since that would penalize taking the stance at all)?

Full defense isn't a TN, so it isn't effected by wound penalties

Making sure one last time I'm not missing anything - there are no benefits to calling raises during the combat training, correct?

Also does the opponent have any Void to spend on reducing damage if Orokos gets nasty?

Correct, no benefit for raises.
